His music is so touching and inspiring.

It's perhaps the most valuable album since Leap Of Faith releases in 1991.

Some of the rest of us might want to just concentrate on the music.

This sadly overlooked gem of an album is by far Kenny's best album of his career and is one of the best albums of all time. "The Art Of Letting Go" is just superb and "I Am Not Hiding" is perfection! The opening track though is pure cheese and doesn't do anything for me. Get this album today! It's worth it!

If you're in to music with heart & soul this is the one. Kenny's voice/ the lyrics/ the music is groovy. If you've listened to Leap Of Faith, this CD is eaven better in every way. Like the songs Just Breath and The Unimaginable Life, what a master in the art of makeing music. I eaven got to see him play live in Las Vegas in the summer of 1997. Hmmm what a performance. Just breath and then turn up the volume.

It has to be Loggins. After Leap Of Faith we should imagine that Kenny would brought an album like this out.

This is a tribute to the spirit. To the "feel complete with my self" sense.

It is very interesting the tribute to his new wife, and soulmate. The songs shows a more mature person, a more advanced spiritual human.

You just be aware that Loggings wrote a book and some extractions of it are inside the album.

It's perhaps the most valuable album since Leap Of Faith releases in 1991.

The lyrics are very very impressive, not for a market of kids, or youths. Hence a commercial success was not in mind.

This is an album for us. Those who are very identified with Loggins adventures through the life.

A 100 for this effort my dear Loggins!

Okay. Skip past the New Age-y essays on love and its importance on our island Earth, a gift from Spirit, blah blah blah. If that outlook on life and love is your thing, you'll feel right at home. Some of the rest of us might want to just concentrate on the music.
Musically "The Unimaginable Life" finds Loggins taking some of the biggest risks and chances of his already impressive career, and the results are glorious. "I Am Not Hiding" finds Kenny laying one of his jazz-inspired, lushly chorded songs over a deep, slow hip-hop rhythm. "All I Ask" and "No Doubt About Love" find him pairing up with Babyface, and each writer brings their finest points to the table to make some gorgeous, folky soul/pop. "Now That I Know Love" boasts another (yet distinguishable) hip-hop rhythm and backup help from the Winans for a truly spiritual soul experience. Then there's "Love's Got Nothin to Prove," which is one of Kenny's finest compostitions ever, complete with unique chord changes (especially in the bridge) and fine lyrics.
Does he step wrong? Sure. "Birth Energy" is a tribute to the process of giving birth; a nice enough idea, but when a bunch of women chant "I am opening up" in the intro, the result is a little jarring. Furthermore, Kenny's wife Julia and some of her friends taking turns reciting a sort of prayer said in praise of the miracle of childbirth comes off as just a little pretentious and self-important. However it's the only moment on "The Imaginable Life" that's easy to dislike. Songs like "The Rest of Your Life" and the title tune are pop writing at its finest, and the production throughout the album is drop-dead gorgeous. It's hard to believe he topped the fantastic effort that was "Leap of Faith," but with this release, Kenny has indeed done the unimaginable.

Here is another Kenny Loggins album with many great songs. Did I mention Kenny is my favorite singer? He has so many catchy songs with great messages. On this album, I love "The Art of Letting Go" the most, for the music and the words! I also am quite fond of "I am not Hiding", "All I Ask", and "Now that I know Love".
A very soulful album. Check it out!

I don't write many reviews, but absolutely could not resist reviewing this album just because I am so surprised with how strongly I feel about it.

I bought it last year, listened to it once, didn't find it all compelling, and shelved it, forgotten. I was online and happened to catch "The Rest of Your Life" and thought, Gee, I own all his albums, which one is that from, that is awesome! It was from Unimaginable Life. So I retrieved the disc from my shelf, stuck it in my car, and listened to the whole album with an open mind, a couple of times.

Next thing I know, I am utterly, completely, head over heels in love. I am hooked on this album like crack, play it repeatedly like I have OCD, and the songs remain completely stuck in my head all day, to my delight.

Skip the poetry on the first and last tracks. Admittedly some songs are somewhat better than others but MOST of them are thoroughly amazing, some even mind-blowing. If you skip half way through "Birth Energy" it really picks up and rocks you out and you can hear some amazing musical genius in there.

"All I Ask" utilizes a unique and haunting violin support, and "Love's Got Nothin' To Prove" is a captivating, slow, sexy groove. I also really like "Now That I Know Love," "This Island Earth" (Loggins' vocals on this track are awesome), and "The Rest Of Your Life" (insanely catchy chorus).

Kenny Loggins is a deeply talented musician and songwriter, a national treasure. His music is so touching and inspiring. I myself have been through a divorce and a large part of my healing can be attributed to his music.

This album is brilliant, but has to be listened to a few times with an open mind. It is a delight and I am so happy to have it be my theme music probably for the rest of my summer.
