Product Description

From the Manufacturer

Forces of Valor 1:32 Scale German BF 109G-6 Red 29 is an accurate replica of the The Messerschmitt Bf 109 a German World War II fighter aircraft designed by Willy Messerschmitt in the early 1930s. It was one of the first true modern fighters of the era, including such features as an all-metal monocoque construction, a closed canopy, and retractable landing gear.

Product Description

The German Messerschmitt BF109 was the Luftwaffe's standard single-seat fighter and was virtually unmatched in the early years of World War II. The power of the BF109 gave it an unmatched ability to out climb and out dive any other aircraft in the sky. The BF109G was powered by a 1800 horsepower Daimler-Benz engine which enabled it outrun its enemies. The drawback was fuel consumption which proved very limiting against the RAF in the Battle of Britain. Features retractable landing gear; opening cockpit; removable and restorable bombs and munitions; rotating propeller; adjustable ailerons and rudder; and opening engine canopy. Includes two pilot figures.

This is a great toy for the aspiring military pilot. My 6.5 y.o. cares it with him everywhere which proves its durability. Lots of fun for the imagination.

This is a great plane. It is a little smaller than the other 1:32 models, but apparently, the Me-109 was rather small in real-life, so I think that probably explains it. The propeller spins around quite nicely, which is fun for the kid in us. The plane is actually quite heavy, as it is made of metal. The wheels go up and down, although they seem just a slight bit flimsy, and they both angle outward a little bit in the anterior direction. The window canopy can open and shut, although when it is shut, it is not very snug. Otherwise, it is perfect. I keep this model next to my spitfire model, to evoke the Battle of Britain, although techically, these particular models are from a later time period.
