Cute Story, October 1, 2001
Zoe Moon is free spirited, and the CEO and only employ of her cosmetic company. She would like financial help from Boston matron Moira Sullivan. Her handsome great grandson, Reed Sullivan IV thinks the sexy red-head is after his grandmother's money. He is also having some erotic thoughts about Zoe as well. Reed's fiancee walked out on him and married someone else. Reed is known as being all business and has been called cold hearted. Zoe finds that not to be true. Over a three month period as they set up her company they get to know each other and although both would like a sexual relationship, they keep it business until the business is done and then "meltdown." The write up on the back of the book leads to a let down if that is what you think will be in the book. It implies the story is "sizzling" and erotic. It's not. The story is cute and the characters interesting. Gina and Reed's first encounter, besides a kiss, is three-quarters of the way through the book. You want them to get together and you like Zoe and her friend Gina and Gina's Italian grandmother and all the neighbors. It's a nice story and a fun read with a predictable ending. It is not erotic or what I would expect from "Blaze," but it is romantic.

Another great Candace Schuler book., October 12, 2011
Reed Sullivan's great grandmother wants to invest in Zoe Moon cosmetic company. Reed things that Zoe is gold digger but he doesn't like the effect she has on him. Zoe and Reed have great chemistry and is was another great book by this author. If you enjoy this genre I would also suggest; Good Time Girl, Any Man of Mine (Avon Romance) and Flat-Out Sexy (Fast Track).

Wonderful characters, sweet story, January 9, 2002
One of these days, Reed Sullivan is going to settle down, marry and have 2.2 children, and be moderately happy with his life. What he won't do is let his great-grandmother hustle him into a relationship. So when he finds that the latest babe at his great-grandmother's side is not a prospective wife but a businesswoman looking for an investment, why isn't he happy? Something is wrong with this picture and it centers around Zoe Moon--a woman who couldn't make him moderately anything if both of their lives depended on it. Zoe is looking for an investor to help expand her cosmetics business. Reed's antipathy surprises her--she's used to men gaining a positive first impression--but her reaction to him is the real shock. Her mother proved to her that relying on hormones will get a woman in trouble every time but every time Zoe sees Reed, her hormones shift into high gear. Author Candace Schuler has created two really interesting characters and a host of supporting characters that add a depth beyond the standard series romance. Recognizing that a story can become more sexy by denying rather than fulfilling the sexual urge, Schuler ratchets up the tension between her characters until neither they, nor the reader, can stand any more. Blaze readers may be surprised to find only one detailed love scene, but that one is a doozy.
