Editorial Reviews

Review

“This guy Walker is one of the gutsiest, toughest, strongest, [most] committed guys I have seen in Republican politics in a long time.”

Rush Limbaugh

“Governor Walker’s principled leadership and common-sense reforms are moving Wisconsin in the right direction.”

Paul Ryan

“He had the courage to take it on, even when it got ugly, and he never stopped.”

Nikki Haley, governor of South Carolina

“Results matter. And that, more than anything else, explains why Scott Walker won.”

Stephen Hayes, The Weekly Standard

"Most books by incumbent politicians are not worth the paper they never should have been written on. If, however, enough voters read Walker’s nonfiction thriller, it will make him a — perhaps the — leading candidate for his party’s 2016 presidential nomination."
The Washington Post

Union electrician here, I *will* be BUYING this book RIGHT NOW & will edit my post later.

Heard nothing but lies and garbage about Walker from day ONE from my Local, but I havent heard any command to do this from my Union (but they did illegally threaten me to sign the recall petition, AND left all around work on breakroom tables and work benches, using company email to tell us to sign it - which was also against company policy. Upon NOT signing it, I was followed around after ALL work I did, and reported to Human Resources for a "safety violation" which NEVER HAPPENED, and was almost fired while I was an apprentice. Who is the one causing people to lose jobs now? I pay Union dues for this?

I've voted for Walker AND voted for him again in the recall. All I hear is how the Union says we'll be a "right to work state" and we'll all be part-time employees. What a crock of horse apples.

I will be donating a dollar to Scott Walker for EVERY negative and fake review of this book, so please, KEEP IT UP.
IBEW Southeast Wisconsin.

How unions encourage people to write fake reviews for this book "dont-waste-a-second-reading-it-union-pushes-flunkies-to-post-negative-reviews-of-scott-walkers-book".. Most of the reviews on here are phony and from Union thugs

I haven't read it, but think you should know that most of these reviews are written by people who have not yet read the book (negative and positive reviews). A union Facebook page is calling on its members to negatively review the book in hopes of lowering the overall rating - even cheering that it went from 2.5 stars to 2 stars ([...]). That's pretty sickening. Review the book on its content, not your political affiliation.

Look for reviews that cite page numbers or specifics, not the content that has been taken out of context and linked on the union's Facebook page.

Scott Walker is a hero for Wisconsin and this book is a clear testament on how he does it. The death threats against him and his family, by liberals and big labor just shows how much class they really have. Keep your head held high Scott!

This was a very candid explanation of why Governor Walker's hands were tied in terms of figuring out ways to balance the budget and eliminate the huge deficit left behind by the prior administration. It does a great job explaining the apprehension, obstacles, and obstructions that Walker and his Administration faced as they restored fiscal sanity in the Badger State. The Governor faced an extremely tough decision, and he offers the reason why his decision was the best possible solution in order to be held accountable by the state's taxpayers that elected him. Great read.

A revealing book by the man at the center of Wisconsin's government reform which resulted in the mobs of union thugs at the state Capitol in Madison. Walker's experience dealing with the union bosses as the chief executive in Milwaukee County served him well as governor. The pragmatism and political skill of Scott Walker and the Republican leadership in both houses at the capitol is laid out in this book. Walker was able to break the stranglehold the union bosses had on the entire state and local governments and turn a $3.6 billion deficit into a surplus. An incredible turn around from the previous administration for the taxpayers in Wisconsin!

Great story of commitment and follow through despite despicable opposition. Well written and great behind the scene details. Can't wait for the sequel.

Scott Walker is a man of high integrity and guts. In his book he clearly provides examples of his fortitude in spite of resistance and threatening behavior of his opponents. This is a good read to identify what we need for leadership.
