A hard book to put down,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Uninvited (Paperback)
When I first picked up this book and started reading it I had a very hard time putting it down. The story was well written, the pace was fast and there was rarely a moment where the story lags. I can only hope that Mr Johnstone will write a sequel to this book and continue the horror.I have read this book in the orignal and the reprinted forms and I still love the story! My only one complaint is that a good character had to die. One good thing about his death was that it was a honorable one and he died saving a life. (I wish we had more people like this person in real life.) IF you want to know which one I'm talking about you will have to read the book!! IF you have already read this book you will know who it is I'm talking about a probably will agree with me. Good luck in finding a copy of this book. It is well worth the time and effort in obtaining a copy of this book.

Disappointed,
This review is from: The Uninvited (Paperback)
The characters have no substance, this story feels like it was written for adults with a maturity level of a twelve year old. I went into this book expecting it to be good based on what people have told me about the writers other books. Maybe this being one of his early works could explain the lack of everything needed to be called a good book, given that I will give some of his other books a read but my expectations will now be a little lower.
