If you are a union steward, union member looking to becoming a steward, this great book should be at the top of your list and at your work place. You have legal rights which you should know about. The book is eye opening at the possibilities of defending a union member against possible job lose and time lost, through no fault of the worker. Is the union labor contract not being honored by your dishonest employer? This is your book. If you have managers who look at you as their next "firing," because they enjoy watching people shed tears. Get and read this book! Most of information and stories are from experienced professionals. It is legal aid for one who may lack legal experience in defending against multiple labor and job problems. If protecting jobs of union members a priority? Remember, the hard fought union labor wins were won for better working conditions, livable working wages and now is not the time to give it back. Then you need to educate yourself and this book a perfect start.

This is a great resource for old and new stewards alike. Everything is broken down into easy to look up categories that give information from health and safety to conducting a meeting. I highly recommend it.

A MUST for the new Stewart, and very helpful for the experienced Stewart, as a refresher.

This book is superb and packed with information that will help any union leader do a better job at representing membership. All they have to do is read! Don't be illiterate by choice! The unprofessional stewards I have had the displeasure of dealing with don't know SH** about their anointing, oops I mean appointing.

I would give this book six stars if I could. This is definitely a complete guide of up-to-date workplace issues. This is a sodium-potaasium pump (Heart) for all of us who want to professionally develop ourselves, and grab the attention of our followers with our competence and fortitude.

The author eluded at the start of the book not to read it through becasue it might be dull like reading a union contract. He was wrong! I read this book over 3 days when I could and took some awesome notes and highlighted through it for so many important ideas.

I've been reading a lot of union books lately and this one is the longest, most indepth, and resoundingly the best.

If you are a workplace leader and you don't have this book, you are way behind the eight ball.

This is a great book for any Union Steward or Union Member. By reading this book you will learn what your rights and responsibilities are as a Union Member or Union Steward.

This book is a good reference tool for the novice Union Steward, and I recommend it to anyone who is currently a Union Steward. Lots of insightful tips!

Easy to read and a must have pilled with information. Don't take all of it litteraly because every union uses parts of this book in different ways.
