Unique Infant Baby Snail Costume

I purchased this for my daughter because she is barely walking and I thought it would be precious for her to crawl around in. Little did I know it was handmade by someone with no motor skills what-so-ever.

I got it and the eyeballs were glued on lop-sided. There's thread already coming undone. The zipper has a catch in the back so you have to force it up, practically tearing the fabric. The material is not designed for a child of the age wearing it. The dimensions listed were inaccurate in length, and the circle that makes up the shell I had to re-sew myself because it came to me unspiraled.

It's too bad they didn't send me the one from the photo, I might have given this more than 1 star. Awful.

This is an adorable costume. I didn't mind spending more money than intended because of the originality of the costume. When I received it though I was disappointed in the quality. The eyes on the cap are barely sewn on, the eyelashes are just dabbed w/ glue, & there were 2 decorative green pipe cleaners that are falling off at the base of the eyes. The first washing took care of those. The velcro chip strap was rough & scratched baby's chin, I had to snip the ends. The shell feels like it will unravel w/ any handling.
I am pleased w/ the sizing, my son is very tall for his age, & there is still plenty of wiggle room.

I absolutely love this costume but am not very happy with the quality. When I received the costume I was very surprised, the material is not very comfortable (it is too scratchy for a baby), the small green fuzzy border between the bottom of the eyeball and actual hat have wires poking out, and when I washed the costume for the first time (on delicate and cold water of course) one of the eye lashes came off. The eyelashes and the fuzzy border are hot glued on and not well done (spots of hot glue randomly on the hat) , and the velcroe for the hat had sharp edges that I had to cut off so they wouldn't irritate my son's chin. I am really not a picky person, but definately would not have paid 40 dollars for this costume. My first reaction to this costume when I got it out of the box was, "It looks like some one made this in their basement." If I had not paid so much money for this costume I wouldn't be so upset, but the quality of this is not worth as much as I paid. The only reason I am not completely mad is because the costume is very cute and if made better would be perfect.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL NOT CANCEL YOUR ORDER AND STILL SHIP IT EVEN IF YOU ASK TO CANCEL AND THEY CHARGE ASTRONOMICAL POSTAGE AND THEN CHARGE YOU 20% OF THE PRICE TO REFUND AFTER AND MAKE YOU PAY ALL THE POSTAGE AND INSURE IT !! BE WARNED.

This is a very cute costume however its not even close to what I was hoping it would be. In general, you get what you pay for, but in this situation it is not worth the price. First of all the costume says infant. When you purchase it, there is no sizing option. I figured because it says infant, it would be infant sized. The tag on the costume itself says 12-18Y. Yes, Y. Im sure they meant M for month, but even still its way too large to be for an infant. The hat itself is huge, yet the straps to go around the chin are too snug on my almost 3 month old. Theres no way I can alter it to fit her head, so the hat will fall down. The elastic that holds on the shell is too big for any child, Ill have to shorten them.The shell came unraveled so Ill have to put some stitches in that. The body itself is not proportioned right. The arms and legs are extremely long but the torso is tight in places. My baby is 11 pounds, not large by any means but its hard to zip it up over her little diaper then gets very loose over her stomach and chest. Its also not a straight zipper. It curves up the back of a leg and over then up. Just making it the most difficult zipper to use. The material is scratchy and thin and overall the picture does not show it well. We really want her to be a snail since its her nickname and thought it was the most adorable thing ever. We had already purchased a pumpkin costume online, but once seeing this, had to have it. I have to make so many adjustments to it, its surely not worth the price. And if its to be a gift for someone, I dont recommend it. It came crammed in a cheap clear plastic bag with nothing else. Very disappointed :(

Cute looking outfit, though nowhere near as much in the photo, but ruined by the fact its ridiculosly experinsive for how cheap and poorly made it is. If you want a baby in a snail suit, buy a different one

Our son wore this when he was 13 months old and not walking yet. He literally won the neighborhood costume contest with it. People wouldn't stop talking about the snail baby. It was adorable.

That said, it is very cheaply made, the material is not really soft and parts of it that were just glued on are falling off. It is definitely a one-season costume. It is possibly too expensive for the quality, but it is definitely adorable. We splurged and don't regret it.

This costume is not even 10% close to wat it looks like in image.
Even after i read the negative feedback about poor quality, the only reason i was ready to pay such a high price was because of the Bright color combination.I was very very dissapointed when i opened the pkg to see a pale blue color dress with very bad quality.The color of the dress is soo light that it almost looked white in the pictures.
Picture is a trap, dont fall for it.Wat u r shown is completely different from wat u get.

This is a very cute costume as long as your child is crawling. But when you are holding them or they are trying to sit it is a little hard to do.
You have to really work at the snail back being straight and staying there. The zipper is not designed just right either, but you will eventually get it zipped up. It is cute if your baby is small, but I wouldn't recommend it if for one 9 months or older. Also very hot.

I wanted to find something for my son that was not a scary or typical "boy" costumes. I searched and searched and came across the bug costumes. Who wants thier kid to be a bug,I thought. When I saw this snail costume, and given my little one had been crawling up a storm, I thought PERFECT!!! Everyone absolutely loved him in this costume. We loved it!
