I observed many ball hopper variations before finally purchasing this item. I found that some were to heavy, others were overpriced and some did not have the capabilities I desired. I finally chose the Pete Sampras Mini Ballport which is made of a durable plastic material (lightweight and doesn't rust). This hopper also can pick up the balls off the court on one side and serve as a stand for easy reach on the other. I have enjoyed the product and the quick shipment of this item to get me started with the new necessary convenience.

This has a very weak structure and entirely made out of plastic. Received the product with one of the plastic part already broken. It is in the working condition though. The product itself is not that bad if they had made it more stronger.

Nice Mini Ballport that breaks easy, because of the material it is created from.
Was hit by the ball and breaks. Balls are falling from the ballport. Now need to be replaced.

I grew up using the metal ball hoppers, but purchased this so my 8 year old daughter can pick up tennis balls. It works great and is very light, strong and solidly built. So far, I have no complaints.

I've come across a great number of hoppers in my day. This is the best one that I have used. This plastic hopper is much more polished and durable than metal hoppers (counter-intuitive for sure). 36 balls is the perfect amount, although only 33 can be held when randomly filling up the hopper (some fall out). 33-36 serves is plenty before your arm needs a rest, and the hopper fits comfortably in the trunk of my car. The hopper is of very durable construction, and no annoying lid that opens randomly (ingenious sliding bar design, though they may fall out if you open them wrong (minor issue)). Can't recommend this product enough, and it is endorsed by pistol pete himself (forget that he endorsed tourna-grip, which is a marginal product).

Bought it for my practice iwth my son. It's very easy to use and not heavy to carry around. It can be better:

1) add some foam to handle so it's easier to carry.
2) add two small wheels so you can push it around.

Have used the product about ten times and it held well. The plastic feels strong. And it's the right size.

Just perfect for holding the balls to practice serve, light as compared to metal ball hopper. The rolling bars at the bottom allow the ball to get in easily
