This book gave me what I wanted-- lots of fun, tasteful romantic ideas for my wedding. I haven't seen anything else like it. Plus, the wedding guide in the back with toll free numbers is real useful. Excellent and fun to read. Highly recommended to all brides.

THIS WAS MY SECOND TIME AROUND AND I CERTAINLY WAS NOT LOOKING FOR A TRADITIONAL LARGE WEDDING. I ALSO HAD VERY LITTLE TIME TO PLAN BUT MR. ALTMAN..YOUR BOOK GAVE ME SOME GREAT IDEAS. WE ENDED UP HAVING A "NON-WEDDING" WEDDING THEME AS SUGGESTED IN YOUR BOOK IN CHAPTER 22. THAT IDEA COUPLED WITH A NUMBER OF YOUR OTHER IDEAS LIKE THE TRADITIONAL CHINESE CUSTOM OF GUESTS SIGNING FABRIC TO LATER BE FRAMED OR STITCHED INTO A KEEPSAKE PILLOW WAS SO FABULOUS! I COULD NEVER HAVE THOUGHT OF THESE THINGS ON MY OWN.

IT WAS SO EASY TO NAVIGATE THROUGH YOUR BOOK. THIS BOOK COUPLED WITH YOUR OTHER BOOK.."14-DAY WEDDING PLANNER WITH INTERNET GUIDE" KEPT PLANNING TIME TO A MINIMUM. I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH!

Lots of ideas? Yes. Good, original ideas? NO! This is a great book because it is in a format that is easy to read and flip through, but I didn't use anything I read in there (I even reread it twice to see what I missed). I gave it three stars though, because there are so many ideas and hopefully they will be helpful to others. My only recommendation...get it at the library first to make sure it has something for you. Unfortunately, I bought it sight unseen.

I got this book as a gift from a friend (who also used it for her wedding) and I just adored it! I wanted to share how it gave us freedom to explore a lot of ideas we wouldn't have considered. For example, I didn't realize how an English high tea could fit into our catering plans or even if it would be appropriate. After learning about it I ended up using this for our afternoon affair (everyone still raves about it!). Plus, there were a lot of excellent Victorian-related ideas that we found very useful, since I like that kind of thing.

The "wedding resource guide" at the back of the book also made it easy to locate services for some of the ideas we liked (plus a lot of personalized items). All in all, it probably saved me hours of time. And since we did a lot of the little things ourselves (centerpieces, favors), I also liked that the book pointed out some tips for do-it-yourselfers plus lots of really beautiful ideas. Even if every idea doesn't make you jump up and down, you'll find many that will make the lightbulb go off in your head! If you have a romantic bone in your body, you'll want to get this book. I am really thankful for its many sweet, inspiring and upbeat ideas. (I plan to give it as a gift to the next friend of mine who gets engaged.) It really did, like the title says, "make my wedding special!" Highly Recommended!

This book helped get me thinking about more creative ways of doing things... in other words, of going outside the typical wedding-by-the-numbers box. The alphabetical chapter organization by subject also makes it easy to find specific ideas. If you want to spice up your wedding details, this book can help you do it. I also liked the 14-Day Wedding Planner With Internet Guide from the same author. For me, these books helped make the whole planning process less stressful, and more fun and enjoyable.

This is a fantastic book on Wedding Ideas and Crafts. It has really given me tons of Ideas for Mine and My Hubby's upcoming Vow renewals. We had a tiny wedding almost 15 years ago with none of the bells and whistles. This time we are going all out. With all the Ideas in this book it was hard to choose what one to do But we did! We are going to be making several types or Holiday ornaments out of this book as we are having our Re Wedding on Dec.22,2001! Thanks for all the fantastic Ideas!

If you want some good, unique ideas for your wedding consider this book. It is fun to read and filled with many ideas I didn't find anywhere else, such as the elegant vine and light covered gazebo that graced our ceremony. I especially liked that it got me thinking creatively for myself. While a couple of ideas seemed silly to me, who knows?--they might be perfect for you. This books shouts "Viva la difference" and isn't shy about it. I liked it so much that I'm giving one to my friend for her upcoming wedding.

You won't find a better wedding ideas book anywhere. This one is crammed with ideas, and there's no filler between the covers. What I liked is that I could browse the book whenever I had time--open to any page and find the kind of unique and romantic or unusual ideas that I could incorporate or adapt to my own wedding situation. Why buy all those bridal mags?..you might want to save your money and buy this one book instead. I found it engaging to read, and a creative uplift. Highest Rating!

Now that the wedding is over and I have caught my breath, I wanted to thank Mr. Altman for all the ideas that he contributed to help make our day special and fun. It was an easy to read book, even when we were tired or really busy. The resource guide in the back was well worth the modest price of the book. My experience was very good.

Unless you can afford to have your local confectioner make chocolate coins in the likeness of the bride and groom as party favors, or think a pottery weekend is your idea of a great bachelor party, forget this book. The suggestions in it are embarrassingly lame.
