VERY Different, but Good,

I've never played anything like this, but I acually like it! You race around on a unicycle going VERY fast while doing tricks. The background is like nothing I've ever seen, but the game is acually fun. You get to choose your own unicycle and even has a stunt mode. It's different, but very fun. If your looking for a strange but really great game, this is for you.

Uniracers is, I think, one of the most underappreciated games for the SNES. The concept is simple and unique: platform racing with unicycles. The racing gets absurdly fast, and the button-mashing trick combos spice it up a lot.
It is a very simple game. All the two-dozen-or-so racers are the same except for color, but detailed statistics are kept for every player and every track. For a solo player, it's just not going to hold interest very long (about 2 hours to clear the game, tops); as a beer-and-pretzels VS game, it's hard to beat on the SNES. One can organize tournaments, so up to 8 players can compete in rounds. It's simple enough that anyone can master it up in a couple minutes. While this makes single player mode boring (there's no challenge), it makes it awesome for VS play because even novice and expert gamers wind up equally matched very quickly.

Is Uniracers a hidden gem?,

Well the answer to that question is.... yes! Uniracers is a one of a kind racing video game that puts you into the wheels of a unicycle. This game includes a crazy story line, but that isn't what shines. So there are multiple modes in this game. There is a league mode where you play with up to 8 players, a two player race mode, and a computer vs. mode with over 40 races. This game uses many different colors to explain what is going on in the race. An example would be that if you see purple on the track, there is a hazard. But this racing game is far from just that. To gain speed you must use tricks and stunts. Typically without these stunts, you will not win. My favorite part of Uniracers is the animation of the unicycles. There are a bunch of different unicycles to use with different colors and names (which you can change). These unicycles are personified to a point where they have a victory dance when they win a race. The music in the game is also suburb, it consists of all upbeat rock songs. This game is actually rare. After it's first 300,000 initial shipment, this game was cancelled. Pixar sued DMA Design and Nintendo for using the likenesses of their animated unicycles, which appear in the short film Red Dawn. So, to wrap it all up, this game is underrated gem that is worth a play through, especially for the fact that its pretty cheap for the cartridge only. But to note I bought this cartridge and it came in about 2 weeks. The cartridge game dirty, sticky, and worst of all, it barely works. This game may be a gem, but it is not for everyone. It is difficult to get the flow of it so you may have to invest a little time to practice
