I admit to being suspicious of buying this album due to there only being two reviews, but let me tell you-this cd is absolutely great!buying this cd will be no "gamble" on your part.I would probably call it a perfect mix of above-average laswell dub, guitars by buckethead that are "colma"chilled-style and then some upper tempo stuff as well, and bernie's synth creativities shine on the second track especially but also on the disc as a whole.let's just say "five stars are not enough".it could've been a little longer though(I think it's about 50 minutes long or so,but it's no problem!) bottom line:if you have enjoyed the work these folks have done on such albums as "colma","electric tears","a dub transmission","invisible design",all the material and praxis albums, and even the death cube k cd's;then this very well IS an essential album for an individual such as yourself to purchase!(hurry before it's out of print!!!)

Another Bill Laswell production masterpiece,

As a follower of all things Bill Laswell and Buckethead, this is another treasure. Combine their participation, along with Nicky Skopelitas and Bernie Worrell, not to mention Robert Musso, and you're one step away from Axion Funk and Praxis. This is a truly magnificent disc that soars with engery and confidence. Kudos to Shin Terai and company.

I buy just about anything with Buckethead's name on it. The other review was pretty vague, so I finally went for broke and ordered a copy of it. I am on my first listen and I must say this is AMAZING!!! This cd is at the top of my Buckethead Skin Pile with:Praxis Transmutation Buckethead Colma, Monster's and Robots, Giant Robot, Bucketheadland and Giant Robot NNT (Different from the one that you can buy on Amazon, this one boasts a pressing of 2000 copies and unfortunately is the best Buckethead album or at least it's got a lot covered on it incl. early vers. of Jowls and Scapula later on M&R) but I digress. The music has sexy beats, throbbing bass, lusty leads, and atmospheric keys. The songs remind me of Bhead tunes like the end half of animal behavior, Machete (Dusk), Scraps, some stuff off Metatron (the Bill Laswell influence is really to blame for this but as long as it's good...) Ive been listening on random so I don't have a track by track, but it's consistent. Not a lot of singing (which is good), plenty of groove, and a good production make this a good addition to your collection regardless of your musical orientation (and in my opinion so is most of Brian Carrol's catalogue)

This along with Funkcronmicon and Transmutation are the best of the Buckethead, Bernie, Laswell. This one has some great beats composed by Shin Terai. I'd never heard of him until buying this cd but if he's good enough for Bill he's good enough for me. The follow up to this lightyears has it's moments but this cd is an alltime classic from start to finish. I call this kind of music "cool people" music. This is not your run of the mill type stuff. You have to dig for this and be open minded but once you do that I think you will really dig this cd. If looking for a intro to Laswell and Buckethead I would recommend this one of the first two titles as great places to start.
