This review is from: The Unitarian Universalist Poets: A Contemporary American Survey (Paperback)
I was only fifteen when my poem was published in this book -- I was the second youngest poet in the anthology -- and I had no idea what to expect. When I received a copy, I was delighted. What was most impressive was the range of topics and styles and themes in the poetry, and the fact that the poets came from all walks of life. There were poems about spirituality, beauty, social issues, war, themes of life and death. The topics ranged from the everyday to the sublime. There wasn't a poem I felt was out of place, and there are many that I often go back and re-read... All Unitarian Universalists follow their own path to spirituality. This lovely book presents snapshots of some of the journeys.
