It's about as sharp as a piece of buttered toast and it is difficult to remove the knife from the sheath but aside from that it gets the job done. The blade it's self is fine, sturdy with a nice heft, but I would prefer it if it were a solid blade instead of having about a third of it serrated. All and all, I wouldn't suggest it but it works so I can't be too harsh.

...I did some research before buying it and found that it comes unsharpened so I knew before hand I would have to sharpen it. I got it pretty sharp but for what I use this knife for it doesn't have to split hairs. I use it mainly for diving. The only reason I wont give more stars is because of the way it locks into the sheath, it is somewhat hard to get out and I'm afraid one day the plastic sheath will break, I would just make another sheath for it as the knife works great.

I bought this same product from a store near me in tennessee before I knew it was on here. I have had this knife for about a year now and it has served me well. The blade wasn't extremely sharp but it does hold an edge fairly well. The sheath may be sticky at first but after a little bit of use if gets better. I've had it secured to my boot and ran a mile without it falling out. Infact the only problem I had with it was that there was no problem. Also, although it may be perfectly weighted for throwing, be careful if you do decide to use it for that purpose. Mine broke at the handle cause I missed the tree and hit the brick wall behind it. But I am definately going to buy another one. I'm also definately recommending this to others.
