It should be fairly obvious that this knife will probably not often be strapped to one's leg during a hunt or hike, hacking bamboo, chopping through brush or skinning a mule deer. Not that the knife couldn't handle that, it probably could (with some work on the edge, see below). But I have knives for rough use and knives that are more show pieces, and this one falls into the latter category, as I intended it. That being said, it excels in that respect. It is a gorgeous knife, substantial and polished. The blade is wide and impressive (although I'm sure not full tang), and the wire handle is tight and solid. I'm not crazy about the scallopped effect, but that's just personal preference. The biggest downer is this knife is not nearly "razor sharp" as described. Sure, that can and will be fixed, but a) I don't like false advertising, and b) sharp out of the box would have shown me some extra care went into the making.

Got this from my buddy for $20. He took the liberty of sharpening it for me and I'm glad he did, based on the reviews. Definitely a collector's item, not for function. Beautifully polished. Mine is #0336
