Sad about this purchase... Needs sharpening, hand guard cuts into knuckle, blade is awkwardly long and grip not comfortable. I wouldn't recommend. Better blades sold at army surplus stores. Disappointing purchase.

This knife is cheap and shoddy. I liked the design and the size of it but, I discovered that the blade was loose in the hilt and that the Marine Recon emblem was cheaply hot glued into the rubber handle, for that matter I think the tang is hot glued in also. Furthermore, out of the box the knife needs to be sharpened and the saw teeth are aesthetic only, I haven't tested the knife outside to gauge the steel yet but I know I will more than likely be making another handle for it.

This SOA Nightstalker Bowie Knife by United Cutlery is by far the Worst knife I have ever bought. First of all there's just no way that this knife is new when it came because it sure looked like it had been used. There were scratches on the blade. The handle guard And the cheap rubber handle are both loose and came that way. the blade on this knife is more of being a toy than a real knife!! Now here is what really got me just laighing At this pitiful product: The knife is made strictly for left handers!! The handle with the cheapo Marine like emblem in the middle of it is placed on the knife indicates the left-handed knife build. But what really tells this story that the knife is for lefties; The cheap styrofoam like sheath which looks and feels and smells like it woulf just burst into a ball of flame if ignited, is a sheath made for lefties. This knife is so pitiful and poorly made that I thought at first about sending it back for a refund. However, I decided to keep it and strictly something to laugh at and mock, and to show people and tell them I got it from a friend as a gag gift. Now don't get me wrong; the length of the blade and the design and the handle design and everything about this knife designwise is absolutely fantastic. When i first saw it on Amazon, I thought Wow! What a fanrastic looking knife. Plus I have knives from United Cutlery now even, and for the money they are some of the best and highest quality production knives I have ever had. And with this knife blade made with AUS * steel, I just knew it was going to be a fine knife!! But I sure was wrong about it!! I am thinking about and wondering if it is worth me doing some work on it and making it into a much better quality and more performing knife. It really would not take a lot of work to do this. And if I did, I would have one hell of a knife!!
But right now all I have is a joke!!

ive recently purchased one of these for my father as a Christmas gift, and unpacked it to see if it were OK. i was amazed at the fine workmanship of the blade and ordered another for myself. the only down side to it was that the hand guard had punctured the box during shipping and it had smudges on the blade. this is a beautiful piece of work and i would recommend this to a friend.

I think this knife is really cool, my favorite part of it is the grip. It is very good handling and i like that it has good weight.

The blade itself came very sharp. Very sturdy hilt. Only things I am disappointed about is that the blade sits slightly loose in the hilt making it wobble (ever so slightly mind you) if it is shaken hard back and forth making me doubt that it is a full tang blade. The marine force recon logo is also sloppily glued to the handle but that isn't really worrisome. Over all, good buy for ~$20. I have several KA-BARs that are better quality but they are also 200% more expensive. I am content with the knife. There's something to be said for the aesthetics of the weapons as well. The thing is just sexy.

This knife is a great addition to the collection. It is very durable, sharp, and the handle is very sturdy. The sheath is very plain, but functional. This was worth every penny!! Great shipping time and packaged with care.

The Overall length of this knife is 16.75 inches the blade is a huge 12 inches long it comes with a nylon sheath that also has a buckle to keep in in the bevel is a saber grind and is made of stainless steel so sharpening might be a little difficult and it won't be as sharp as a hollow or flat grind but it will not chip as easy aswell. The blade doesn't come razor sharp but it's still sharp enough to work with and at the tip it has a nice little saw.

I just about to get the Gerber Bear Gryll's (sp?) $90 edition but this puppy will do just fine not that I have anything to stalk down or some coutry to overthrow. The thing is HUGE! and sharp for now. now I need to go to ER.

yeah, this is stainless so it'll be hard to sharpen. tooo bad the maker doesn't know anything about how to make a good knife. I do have to admit that just seeing the knife will scare people away so you'll never need to see how dull it is.

The knife got here quicker then thought and it is better then it looked in the picture im actually very impressed
