When you don't have quite enough paper, you are left with a bunch of little pieces that get wasted. When you have one, big roll, you don't have to worry about having even nearly so much waste. Besides, plain, brown wrapper is some of the greatest stuff on earth. It has a million uses and is very reasonably priced.

I use this as a filler when I ship packages, kinda like Amazon does with some of their packages.

The paper is quite a bit heavier than newspaper paper. About perfect for wrapping. There was some smell, as noted by another reviewer, but it disappeared a few days after I removed the paper from its plastic wrap. Speedy delivery. If you just want paper, you might check whether newsprint (newspaper paper) would be cheaper. I don't know. It might be more expensive because making it white probably costs money.

I use this to wrap presents. I made it through Christmas and a few Birthdays and haven't even made a dent in the roll! Works great and will last a very long time!

I was looking to use this to wrap Christmas gifts and let my daughter color, paint, and make projects on. I was debating whether to go with 40 lb or 50 lb paper. The 40 lb is great for gift wrapping, however, I will probably go with 50 lb next time(if I ever run out and need to purchase again!) for projects / activities, as I'd prefer something a little more sturdy. All in all it's a great bargain and has endless uses! I didn't notice a terrible smell as some other reviewers noted.

The item description of this item is "inaccurate". This paper, as the label attached to the roll states, is made from "recycled" paper. In comparing recycled Kraft paper to a normal roll of 40lb. Kraft paper the recycled paper is thin, and soft like tissue paper. Normal "non-recycled" paper is heavier and has a crisp feel to it. In my opinion, it would be difficult to wrap an item for shipping with this recycled paper and feel confident that the package was securely wrapped. Also, the recycled paper has a definite odor which is produced as a result of the recycling process. The odor was such that I was inclined to store the paper in my garage as opposed to indoors.
