The United Nations Exposed, April 2, 2002

Jasper's tour de force pulverizes many misconceptions long fostered by America's foreign and domestic enemies. He takes the [largely misstated or concealed] record apart, then sets it straight. He names powerful [mostly American] Insiders -- the little known and the legendary -- who, like "Judas goats," have recurrently led America down disastrous pathways under cover of darkness, while we trusted our government to honor America's highest traditions. The Insider modus operandi has always been one of self-service, stealth, cunning, chicanery, even treason. They knew that to state their objectives openly and honestly would cause them to be rejected, root and branch. The Insiders, who live in the lap of freedom, exert to destroy America's sovereignty, freedom, traditions; and civic conscience. The United Nations, their stalking horse, never has had power or resources of its own; so feeds off its prey ("we give them the rope to hang us"). Jasper hot lights the corruptness of the U.N.'s founders, who massacred millions of their Russian countrymen. The Insiders' credo (socialistic-communistic-atheistic) and goals (absolute control over the world's people and its resources) have never changed. The UN's burgeoning thug-states commit depravities as a way of life, vote the totalitarian line, and oppose America at every turn. While our nation, out of a great heart, has repeatedly given of its largesse to promote freedom and international well-being, The Insiders have converted that to the advantage of despots. By a cleverly devious "pincer strategy," they have achieved horrific outcomes, then hailed them as crowning successes, e.g. Yalta, Dumbarton Oaks. Jasper's large canvass captures The Insider/UN's flaws and malfeasance, ongoing subterfuge, and direct ties to genocide. (So much for Kofi Annan's Nobel Peace Prize) While America slept, the entire world has "advanced" to regionalism -- the penultimate phase of evolution towards one-world government. During this transition, nations will continue, in the wake of the European Union, to become economic vassal states. Then comes the closely following coup d'etat: one-world government under The United Nations -- and enforced tyranny, with all civilians disarmed, the U.N. holding overwhelming power (ceded by its handmaid, America). Those many UN "treaties" now on the shelf, will spring into full force and effect throughout the world; there will be no checks, balances, or [meaningful] appeals. Jasper asks and answers searing bedrock questions. We will define ourselves and our futures by the way we choose to engage them. Apathy and inertia are one option! ** Why has America progressively lost control of its destiny during the past 75 years? ** Don't global problems require global solutions? ** Isn't the UN our last best hope for peace -- subject perhaps to a few reforms? ** Would American leaders really betray fellow Americans to an outside enemy? ** Aren't "sovereignty" and "borders" passe in a "free trade" economy? (read: Is the economy the country?) ** How did America ever become endlessly mired in no-win military conflicts, peace-keeping operations; and nation building having nothing to do with America's vital interests? ** What Constitutional authorization is there for America to serve as a global police force, empire builder, and nanny? Will our citizenry rise up with one voice to require its elected representatives to summarily reject such nonsense? ** Can America's constitutional freedoms and protections be stolen away by a "thief in the night?" (We are not helpless. We are the only world superpower and can stop it in its tracks!) ** What will happen to private property, family sanctity, religious faith, personal handgun protection, no taxation without representation, citizens' rights in the context of ecological stewardship? (These are ALL rhetorical questions! The U.N.'s myriad "treaties" are brimming over with answers -- all detrimental to America's best interests.) Each generation of Americans must validate its own claim to freedom or risk losing freedom forever. A quick search of the world globe shows how perishable freedom is. Lincoln: "If [danger] is to reach us . . . if destruction [is to be] our lot, we must ourselves be [its] author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide." That was true when Lincoln's army saw [this reviewer's Confederate forbears] poised to attack from across the Potomac. It is no less true today. "Fellow frogs," the temperature of our comfy water bath is being raised so slowly we don't realize we are being cooked. The chefs -- George W. Bush, Vicente Fox, Trent Lott, Richard Gephardt, (their minions), and countless transnational corporations ("citizens of the world") demand that America's borders be opened to "free trade," the entire socialist panoply, and a balkanized country. They do so in language best suited for marketing "poisonous candy" as an edible. Post-September 11, are we Americans merely lemmings ready to rush off cliffs? The Founding Fathers knew that America would be tested to its core. (Benjamin Franklin (in response to a woman's inquiry): What we have given you is a Constitutional Republic, if you can keep it.) They pleaded with us, their descendants, not ever to become entangled in permanent foreign alliances! We have not kept the faith. It is time to remove the wide-ranging peril Jasper's book describes. We can do so by getting the United States out of the United Nations and the United Nations out of the United States.
