The Painful Reality, August 25, 2005
This review is from: The United Nations'global straightjacket
I just completed this book in July 2005. After reading over 35 books on various aspects of the financial world, and a great deal of these were major historical books, her work answers questions that were still left unanswered by these other major works. If you have read any of these:
Rothbard's History of Money and Banking in the US.
Rothbard's America's Great Depression
Robert Prechter's Conquer the Crash
Bill Bonner's Financial Reckoning Day
Griffith's The Creature on Jekyll Island
Quiley's Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in our Time.
...then you will certainly want to read Joan Veon's book. Having read the book, read an interview she gave Jay Taylor in his great newsletter, and having spoken with her, this is a must read for anyone who wants to come to a deeper understanding of world events and how they are affecting the monetary environment.
If this book is ever sold out on Amazon, then contact Joan personally. Her info is at www.womensgroup.org.
The content, like that of the other books listed above, is not a fun read. However, it you do not care to "feel comfortable" from your reading material and instead want to understand world events, this one is a must.
