HABA blocks are the best
This set is beautiful and durable. My four year old loves this set and often combines it with others we have (St. Basil's and the Greek Temple) to make fantastic cityscapes. The trees and bushes with this set are the perfect finishing touch.

Does not look like the US Capitol!
This is a lovely block set, durable and fun.... but I rated it low on educational value because it does NOT look like the US Capitol building. My husband and I live and work downtown Washington DC, just blocks from the actual building, and we both agree: this is a poor representation of the Capitol building. Too bad!

I teach 5th Grade and like to display historical dioramas on my window sill to help me illustrate units we're studying. I can't wait to put this up, surrounded by little redcoats, when I teach the War of 1812 (the capital won't have the dome then), and later, surrounded by cannons and Union soldiers, who will protect it during the Civil War.
Great quality product, fun to put together (for kids, too!). I will buy other models in this series now that I see how great this is. |
