I really wanted to see MORE hoodoo, like practitioners and they got into hoodoo, and maybe show them working their craft. Where was the hoodoo? Maybe it should have been called "The United States of some Hoodoo & New Orleans Voodoo." I feel that it also would have been nice for him to interview Ava Kay Jones, Priestess Miriam, just to name a few.

Excellent look into the culture, tradition, and history of African Traditional Religions and how the rhythm of Africa still underlines the African-American spiritual culture.

A beautiful, magical, musical, spiritual -- and by the end deeply moving -- journey to the Waters of Return that both divide and unite ourselves and our ancestors, the material and the spiritual, present-day Americas and ancient Africa. A film I know I will watch a number of times, each time gaining something new--something I didn't know I'd lost. Aibobo!

Not about Hoodoo or anything else in any great depth, but touches many such bases in an affable manner. All on the course of an African Diaspora oddyssey exploring relatively alternative spirituality in the States as such. Personal enough and with a good cast of folks interviewed, nicely featured music, art, ritual, etc.
