lol...I don't think they're likely to do another price drop, they're more likely to just discontinue production. When that happens you might find one discounted in Wal-Mart or Target if you're lucky...but the price will actually go up online once the smaller dealers and the ebayers have their hands on the last unopened units.
I totally agree with you why this system isn't 50 bucks yet is a surprise to me. my old one is finally starting to break down so i'd like to replace it because there are still some old games i still own that i'd like to play. i dont want to pay 100 bucks for a 10 year old system. i wonder when they will finally drop it to 50 bucks.
I'll tell you why it's still a hundred bucks. It's because people are still willing to pay it. When customers stop buying it, they will simply discontinue the model, and prices may briefly drop while retailers clear out inventory, but then climb again on ebay for instance, as they will be suddenly hard to find new.
