This screen protector, although it fits perfectly, does not work with the Garmin Nuvi 1350. According to an authority (my son) here is the likely reason it does not work. The Nuvi 1350 is a "resistive" screen type and therefore requires direct contact between a finger or touch device and the screen. The protector puts a shield that prevents this contact. The other type of screen -- a capacitive screen type -- found on some cell phones and other devices is not affected in this way. We demonstrated this by moving this screen protector to a capacitive display of a cell phone; it worked perfectly. I cannot say whether my observations are relevant for any other Garmin Nuvi device other than the 1350. But, buyer beware.

I just got mine today and finished applying it in 30 seconds.

Item works flawless. I'm actually a pro at putting shields on electronics as I have done iphones, macbook pros, ps3, kindles.

More about this item:

1) Fits screen well.

2) It's glossy surface (although I would prefer matte instead because of glare, but it's fine)

3) if you know what your doing, no air bubbles on the first try.

4) when you touch the protector, it does leave finger prints but are easy to wipe off with any microfiber cloth (basically your eye glass cleaning cloth).

5) came with a really small microfiber (useless, get a decent size one from your eye glass dealer) and a small plastic thing for getting rid of air bubbles (which, I found useful for when making sure no bubbles were on at the edge of the protector.

All in all, I would recommend this to anyone. Great product.

This protector was easy to install, but be sure to read the instructions first and follow them correctly. It is also very clear and stays on after applied. I have a Garmin Nuvi 1300 and it does not cause any problems with the touchscreen properties. Overall, a great product.

This screen protector fit my GPS PERFECTLY... the problem is they provide these little tabs to pull apart the sticky part from the backing. Well, once the protector is on the GPS, when you try to pull off the tab, it leaves a large sticky residue on your screen protector. Let me put it this way: have you ever purchased something nice and when you got it home, you could not remove the price sticker? This is what happened to me - not once, but twice. In fact, I through the first cover in the garbage. If these were free, they would not be worth it.

Others have commented on this and they are correct. I have the garmin 1350T and this didn't work. It wouldn't allow me to make any selections on the GPS. Save the money and go buy yourself an ice cream.

The price was right so I took a chance.

Summary: Don't waste your time or money on this one.

Pros: the cleaning sheet provided works.
Cons: Everything else.
I tried one of the two sheets received and abandoned the effort after messing with it for 5 to 10 minutes. First, the sheet was a bit too large to fit my 4.3" Garmin gps. This, in combination with a fairly aggressive adhesive and static makes it nearly impossible to get it "centered" on the display. After a third or fourth try I said "good enough" even though it was slightly wrapped up on the bezel along one edge. The film is stiff enough that it will not stay down if "creased" with a fingernail. The final straw was when I tried to remove the tab that is attached to the outside of the sheet on one corner. The tab is needed to assist in positioning the sheet, especially so due to the multiple applications and removals needed to get it (nearly) centered. But the tab is a paper/adhesive laminate and the adhesive is stronger than the paper and the paper delaminates leaving a mess (imagine removing the label from the ketchup bottle but worse). I attempted to remove the remains with my fingernail but finally just removed the sheet instead.

Suggested improvements:
1. Make the sheets smaller so they always fit. Leaving a small gap uncovered is preferable to having the sheet overlap the bezel.
2. Use a less aggressive adhesive. This will reduce the static generated when the sheet is peeled off the liner and will also make it easier to reposition. It might also collect less dust while the adhesive is exposed.
3. Use a film for the tab rather than paper and make sure the tab adhesive comes off the sheet cleanly.
4. Give the sheet a matte finish (or offer the option) to minimize reflections (like the gps itself.

I bought this item to protect my wife's on screen usage of her GPS. Since we often slide the GPS under the seat for protection, it protects the screen from getting dings on it. When I bought my first GPS, I didn't buy a screen protector and after a number of months of useage, I regretted not buying one.

Very misleading to call this a Universal Screen Protector for Garmin Nuvi. The touch screen does not work when the protector is installed. Save your money; unless you are certain that it will work with your model, don't order one!

The product says what it does. It protects and it sharpens the screen image. It works so well, I've forgotten it's on the unit.
Good bang for the buck!

I have had this screen protector on my nuvi for several months now and have not experience any problems. Follow the directions for putting it on and it works great, lasts a long time.
