5.0 out of 5 stars We Did It!
I am sooooo thankful for this product!
It was exactly the right size replacement for what we had, which doesn't seem to be around any more.
Just one thing, however; the fan blade/wheel is actually 4.5 inches in diameter, not four, like most of the descriptions say. This worked for us, but pay attention to whether or not it will work for you.

3.0 out of 5 stars underpowered
I purchased two of these motors to replace old 1970s Nutone bathroom fan motors which must push open a light aluminum flap just above the fan. These motors install easily; but they cannot budge the flaps, which weigh almost nothing and require mere contact to open. I have to prop open the flaps so that these motors can draw air from the bathrooms. Be careful - understand...

4.0 out of 5 stars Fan Replacement, March 4, 2009

Fan works perfectly. One purchasing idea - make sure you measure depth/size of fan motor. This was a little confusing as there are many to choose.

Easy transaction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect fit, February 26, 2009

This item was a perfect fit for a really old ceiling fan motor, and good thing it was, otherwise I would have had to try to remove or replace the rest of the unit, which would have entailed cutting a larger hole in the ceiling and who knows what other problems.

Product installed easily and worked as expected. The seller shipped fast too. That is about all you can say for a replacement motor.

I have to prop open the flaps so that these motors can draw air from the bathrooms. Be careful - understand that while these motors install easily, they are underpowered. They cannot open a flap which weighs almost nothing. If this is your situation, you need a stronger motor.

Received the motor and fan in 2 days. Easy install in about 15 minutes. The new fan is quieter than my old one.

The motor in our NuTone 668RP bathroom fan/light died. After failing to find an exact replacement motor, I decided this was a close enough match; it's a similar size and cord length, is 3000 RPM, and is CCW rotation.

The shaft on this motor is smaller than the original, so the original fan blade could not be used. But this motor moves about the same or even more air. Better yet, this fan runs more quietly and uses about 30% less power. One difference is this motor is made in Mexico whereas the original was made in the USA. This results in a slightly less well-finished appearance (not as neatly wound with rougher edges) than the original. It is definitely preferable to replacing the entire light/fan assembly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs a snap ring, November 4, 2011

This review is from: Universal Bathroom Fan Replacement Electric Motor Kit with Fan 115 volts C01575
The package came without a snap ring to fix the blade on the spindle. You need to get a snap ring separately, otherwise, the blade would slide all the way down to the motor base and make a rattling noise.

This fan replacement turned out to be better than the original name-brand that came with the house. The price was very reasonable and the shipping only took 3-5 days. Very happy with this purchase!
