They weren't kidding when they named this product a smart charger. It does what they say and they say what it does. It will charge your Li-ion computer battery independently of your laptop. I purchased this product when my internal charger for my laptop broke. (the jack that connects to power). All the computer repair guys I called said I needed a new mother board at a minimum of $700. I found this smart charger on Amazon. Now, I can charge my battery independently of my laptop. I pop my battery back in after its fully charged. You'll know when its fully charged because the light on the charger turns green. I get about an hour to an hour and a half of laptop use before I need to charge the battery again. If I only use the laptop a few minutes at a time per day, I get several days use before needing to charge again. This charger saved me a bunch of money!

I purchased this charger to charge the small batteries for my indoor helicopter. They are just one-cell, 3.7v, 120ma. I had planned to use it to charge the batteries in my park flyer and motorized glider also, but it never got that far. After a little more than 2 months of charging these baby one cells, it quit. Now when I plug a depleted battery in the green light just stays on..maybe flickers once, thats all. With shipping, $30 bucks down the drain. I looked at the brief literature that came with it, but no mention of a warranty.
Be "smart" and buy something else.

It is supposed to be a smart charger, and yet it does not seem to charge my notebook Lithium Ion battery properly. It seems to regulate the terminal charging voltage accurately, but it does not seem to perform the "top off" charging correctly. It stops charging as soon as the battery terminal voltage reaches the predetermined thresholds, but a good charger should perform constant current and then constant voltage charging to ensure the battery is fully charged.
It is very light, so it could be carried around very easily.

Does a good job charging. Does not top off well as indicated above but gets the basic charge done quickly. It is sensitive to the quality of connection to the pack. The manual is pretty useless. I plan on buying a second one.

... so, something will have to be replaced, either the charger or battery connector. You pick.
