4.0 out of 5 stars You Guys didnt read the Discription!
I wanted to set the record strait here, First of Component video is NOT Digital it is anolog HD (up to 1080i In most cases). When I bought mine it stated that the cable was S-video Through the component for gamecube, And it worked Great on My 480i Component television and It also worked great For xbox too! Even without the Toslink audio it sounded good but no surround...

1.0 out of 5 stars Looking for component from the cube? Don't bother with this.
I bought this cable thinking I was getting the ability to use progressive scan on my Gamecube. Turns out that whoever designed this cable forgot to test it before claiming Cube support.

It sends analog video, that is what is essentially s-video, via the component cable. What you end up seeing on your TV is black and white and grainy. The system is unusable...

My guess is the performance is just as poor for the X-Box and PS2, so stay far, far away from this shoddy product.

I ordered this product only a day or two before Stephen posted his comment. I just received the cable and he is certainly correct; this cable does not support the digital component output of the older model gamecubes. The only compatible plug actually plugs into the gamecube's analog video output slot. This product is a total misrepresentation.

Attention! For Game Cube and N64 this cable does NOT work as component video. It's just a regular AV cable.

I was so excited to finally see a third party component cable for the GC. As with the other reviewers the cable does not work.

None of these reviews were here when I bought it. Oh well I just hope these cautionary posts ward off further disappointment for GC owners.

This item does not work as a component video cable for the Gamecube. Do not waste your money or time if that is what you want. If you are looking for a extremely cheap PS2 component cable, then this is ok, however there are much better cables available for just a little more money.

Just like everyone says, this is a total misrepresentation for Nintendo consoles. For other consoles, I cannot say.

Just to save other people time, this connector does NOT provide a digital audio out for the XBox connection. Strictly L/R analog.

This compenent cable will mate to the analog video out of a gamecube, but will not provide audio or color to the compenent in of a television. I do not know if this works for playstation or xbox but do not use for gamecube as advertised on the package.

4 in 1 cables do not provide digital picture. The plug end that plugs into gamecube unit is an analog connection that does not provide digital signal. In other words the cables have an analog connection that goes into a digital connection , Just doesnt work . I would not reccommend buying this product it simply does not work

One For Video and the standard cable does audio. No its not the best cable I have owned but it has outlasted the Microsoft HD pack that I bought for the first gen Xbox. I wish they still had them I want a Second one.
