3.0 out of 5 stars The Mat works wonderful with the Wii ... But not universal, April 13, 2010
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars

When i see UNIVERSAL Im thinking that this one pad hooks up to all the systems listed on the box and in the description. But when you buy the universal pad it only comes with one wire and it only hooks up to the WII. So im thinking to myself how does this hookup with the other systems and the PC ? it didn't come it other pieces to attach to the one wire or anything. I picked up 2 of them and both are the same. If something it truly universal then all pieces should be included in the package, otherwise you can only use it with the wii.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great responsiveness, great pad, April 6, 2009

This is one of the thin (non-padded) types of pads. I bought it knowing that these pads tend to 'wander' around the room when you're using them, but I planned on strapping it to a board and adding my own padding materials, so that was fine.

I really like this pad a lot. It's extremely responsive and sensitive; I didn't end up with unearned boo's as I have with some less-responsive pads.

The other great thing is, I can use it on my PS2 and then immediately unplug it and plug it into my PC.

Because it's universal, it isn't limited to the four directions, 2 buttons, and start/select -- it also has the bottom left/right buttons, which is helpful in games (such as those on the PC game StepMania) that can use those extra buttons (the PS2 just ignores them).

I did try it out to make sure it worked, before I went through the trouble to strap it to a board, and found that it doesn't wander as much as some other pads do; the tacky rubber-like gripping material on the bottom is pretty decent. Still, I highly recommend buying a piece of pegboard from a hardware box store, cut it to the right size, and duct-taping the pad to it. It makes a huge difference.

5.0 out of 5 stars Universal Dance Pad, January 26, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

This works well, doesn't slide around on the floor too much. The buttons are the perfect size for feet so the back button is easier to hit than other pads I've used.
