unfortunately the product broke the first time I used it to make cranberry sauce- it snapped right in half at the blade, but the company was nice enough to refund my money. It also was hard to keep on the counter and leaked cranberry sauce all over the counter and floor as I tried to grind the cranberries.

Good quality product - sturdy. The mounting screw/clamp doesn't hold tight to the counter. Otherwise, it works quite well.

I didn't buy this here. I inherited it from my mother. I can recall helping to crank this grinder when I was a child. We used it to grind meat and also to make bread stuffing. It had its problems, but it outlasted our KitchenAid meat grinder attachment, which eventually burned out the KitchenAid. The metal body of my Universal Meat Grinder is weathered, the handle is darkened with age, and the blade is rusty, but it will work again if I ever need it.

However, in the meantime I am using an electric meat grinder and I advise you to do the same unless you have children who will turn the crank for you, and plenty of time yourself to unjam it when sinews get wrapped around the innards of the grinder.
