Buddy Holly fans will agree with me that Buddy's works are the truely original and pure rock 'n' roll. Unfortunately the modern rocks bands have too much rage or just some silly boy bands.I have an album on Buddy's original master tapes released in 1985, but the inherent hissing sounds spoils the total enjoyment, (probably that's why its original?). This digitally remastered disc presents a very crisp and clear sound as if you were there watching Buddy performing live. Unfortunately, the total disc time is only 40 minutes. The song list is still not definitive enough as the original master tapes. I have also watched Buddy The Musical recently and it was great! The best part was Buddy's last performance at Surf Ballroom before he died on a plane crash. The audience clapped, danced and cheered. Catch the show if you can. Even though Buddy is not alive to hear his fans screaming for him, his music still lives on today. Bye Buddy. And thanks for the music. |
