5.0 out of 5 stars Thought Provoking, March 21, 2005
The author states that this book is for anyone seeking a deep and systematic explanation of life, and I think this was a fair statement. Every page of this book pours out information of a thought provoking nature. It has the unusual ability to contain a complexity of thought which is coupled with a simplicity of expression. The arguments are provocative and insightful and so well presented that the profundity of what is being revealed usually comes across as basic common sense, yet much of what I was reading was new to me. The author has a way of cutting through the chaos and complexity of life to reveal a simple symmetry. This is well worth a read - every chapter contains a depth of thought that will give you plenty to think about for a long time to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stimulating and illuminating, February 11, 2005
This is not your ordinary run of the mill book. Positively speaking this is crammed with information - sometimes too much so. There is something deeply illuminating in this book and much of what is said is usually well presented in a free flowing argumentative style. I enjoyed the explanation about the Chakras (very illuminating) but he did seem to continually portray religion in a negative context. I am an open-mined Christian (in my opinion) and I found some of his suggestions offensive and lacking good basis. Overall however (and leaving aside my bruised ego), this is well worth a read as it explains many well established metaphysical principles in a clear and precise way. It seems to be aimed more at the advanced reader however, and I fear many will find much of his reasoning a little blunt and lacking in sensuality.

4.0 out of 5 stars Universal Mind, June 11, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: The Universal Mind & I: Intelligent Spiritual Philosophy (Paperback)
I was recommended this book by a friend a couple of weeks ago and decided I to order it on Amazon. The book itself is quite short only 200 pages or so and the subject matter is not something I'm not normally interested in but the way the author writes about the weaknesses of religion and spirituality I quickly became hooked. I don't want to give anything away but the conclusions the book makes will keep you thinking for weeks.
