Book Description

Universal Mysteries is a fascinating, and in most ways, a unique book. It provides the answers to many intriguing questions about the origin and the nature of the universe, as well as the purpose of humans. It is an ideal read for contemplative minds seeking to understand the scientific basis of spirituality in a comprehensive and concise way.

Over the centuries, Sufism communicated the reality of 'non-duality.' It told us what we observe as the world-out-there is in fact a virtual image and the ultimate reality is the Oneness of all that is. This Oneness, that comprises the essence of all things, can only be realized by getting rid of the delusion of being a separate 'individual.'

Today, science also claims the same thing; it reports the universe is a giant hologram. As it turns out, this splendid detailed illusion only looks concrete to us because of our brains' ability to convert a boundless ocean of waves into the projection of what we observe as our physical world.

We are in fact creating this quantum reality at all times, as non-local atoms localize and manifest as physical objects at the sight of a conscious observer. In other words, the apparently material world in which we are living is generated by our very act of observing and interpreting.

This simply means that our universe and everything dwelling in it has two different aspects to its reality. One is the physical world, or the field of cosmic data receptive to our five senses; and the other is the spiritual world, or the dimension of cosmic energy and consciousness that our sensory perception fails to pick up on! In the same way, we can observe ourselves either as physical bodies moving through space and time within the limitations of the five senses. Or we can observe ourselves as masses of wave frequencies within the giant hologram of cosmic energy and consciousness. The former describes a human being having a spiritual experience; the latter describes a spiritual being having a human experience, just like Jem and Alph, the two main characters in "Universal Mysteries".

The realities of the quantum (or the spiritual) dimension are different when compared to our physical world of limitations but not separate. In the quantum world all things take on a new meaning. If we can consciously allow our minds to transgress beyond this physical life to which we have become accustomed, we will enter a holographic universe. Here, deep within us, is wholeness, a unified field of limitless possibilities in which every cell in our body has the entire knowledge and energy force of the whole universe. In the quantum world, five-sense limitation is obsolete! There are no physical boundaries pertaining to physical bodies or objects anymore! Death is no more a reality than the realities of the five-sense world! The entire universe is a single intelligent system, a unified 'whole' of which you and I are an integral part. In fact, there is no 'you' and 'I', and hence there are no 'egos; to defend and prove right or 'individuals' to protect and comfort. Here, there is only One. Here, is 'non-duality.'

These are the universal realities Jem is presented by his galactic friend Alph in 'Universal Mysteries'.

"A deeply philosophical novel that uses Sufism to examine the nature of humanity and the universe." - Kirkus Reviews

From the Back Cover

What if we were to one day receive a visit from an all knowing alien that enlightened us and answered all our questions about the Realities and Mechanics of the Universe? What if that alien were to share his comparatively infinite wisdom on the purpose of life and mankind itself? For Jem, the hero of this fabulous tale, that day has come!

This book full of Sufi wisdom reveals the Realities of the Universe that lie beyond our perceptive capacities.

Once again, Ahmed Hulusi presents us with ideas that will challenge our preconditioned minds to the limit and urge us to re-consider the way we perceive reality.

3.0 out of 5 stars A book everyone can benefit from reading May 19, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The primary reason I am giving this book just three stars rather than 4 or 5 is that this book is an English translation, and the job of translating, although adequate, is far from perfect, and often very clumsy. It reads well enough to be understandable, but some readers may find the dicey English phrases and improper grammar distracting while trying to absorb the challenging concepts presented by the original author.

Despite this flaw, Universal Mysteries is a book I hope a lot of people will read. This is exactly the kind of "expanded" perspective on the nature of religion and God concept that millions of people would do well to consider.

Certainly, there isn't anything in this book that has not been revealed or proposed elsewhere -- by other philosophers, Zen masters, Christian monks, New Agers, even secular scientists -- but it's extremely helpful to get yet another take on how to think of, or envision the Universe as one giant "Intelligence Singularity" (my term, not the author's) that, at its most fundamental level, is the base of all reality, and is something that can never be divided from the "oneness" of itself.

I felt I got a fresh look at a subject I have been long familiar with -- I only wish I could have granted this book 4 or 5 stars, but native speakers of English will be in for an unpleasant surprise if they are not made aware of the awkwardness of the translation.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Journey Into the dimensions of Mind and Universe March 4, 2002
When I first handed this book, it looked as if it was an ordinary science-fiction book written by a Sufi author. However, chapter by chapter it got incredibly interesting so that I couldn't stop reading till I finished.
In the book there is an intellectual philosophy teacher who questions the origin and nature of universe and aim of human existence. The answers are given by a ...(I leave it to you to find what it is) called Elf.Because Elf is a guest who one night knocks at the teacher's door and comes in as a guest, can be seen time to time to the teacher's eyes, and can become an invisible but a wave-like creature which makes the teacher and me amazed and drifted to different dimensions in my mind. In each chapter the questions and answers are developing and make me be aware of different dimensions of reality within ourselves. Although the questions that the teacher is asking very simple, you should read the answers given by Elf which are full of both scientific and spiritual explanations.
So I highly recommend this book for the people who are seeking for their own reason of existence in this universe by making a journey into the dimensions of Mind and Universe.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Most Inspiring book I have ever read ! September 19, 2002
It opens your eyes to the reality of LIFE. This is not a book of fiction, it deals with reality. Please do not pass this life without knowing the real purpose of your existence. This book introduces you to the concepts that are not comprehencible from the very limited 5 senses that we have. It tells you about the realities of universe which are almost impossible to comprehend without opening our inner eyes (the eyes within).

5.0 out of 5 stars Door opening to higher level of conciousness June 22, 2002
This book, written in quite easy-to-read format will strike you with deep level of spiritual enlightment as all of author's books do.
You will start realizing how existing norms of society has preconditioned your way of thinking, you will start asking questions you have never asked before about the universe and your place in it and this will be the start of your transformation for a higher level of spiritual conciousness."

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BOOK OF ''UNIVERSAL REALITY'' AND WISDOM July 14, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition
It was an amazing book to read for me! I read all the books of Sufi author Ahmed Hulusi, but this book was the first one that I read. It provided answers to my questions. Although we live with our five senses; science has verified today that, the world we see with our eyes and five senses is in fact an illusion. It is only the virtual image of reality. We live in a holographic world. The universe is ocean of waves. Our brains are just the converter of those waves. Therefore, microcosmos is the brain; macrobrain is the cosmos. There are two aspects of REALITY: One is the physical world we see with our eyes, the other is the spiritual world; cosmic energy and consciousness. There is a holographic universe that is deep within all of us, a wholeness, a unified field of all possibilities, the QUANTUM POTENTIAL. Years ago, famous Quantum Physicist John Hagelin was one of my professors while I was doing my studies at university. He taught me the same thing at that time; that we live in a huge hologram, we all have that cosmic consciousness in ourselves. Everything emerges from that UNIFIED FIELD of all possibilities. You have power when you contact with that field. We can only have higher awareness when we experience deeper levels of UNIFIED FIELD within ourselves. This is the purpose of life like Elf said to Jamm. Therefore, I strongly recommend you to read this book. I am sure you will fall in love with it like me! In fact, as author Ahmed Hulusi says: ''WE ALL IS ONE WITHIN ESSENCE, WE IS ONE AT HEART!''

More About the Author

Dear Reader,

Many have asked, who is Ahmed Hulusi, what is his mission?

Ahmed Hulusi was born on the 21st of January 1945, in Cerrahpasa, Istanbul, and was named Ahmed by his mother, and Hulusi by his father.

He spent the first 18 years of his life without any prior religious knowledge, believing only in 'a Creator'. As every time Ahmed Hulusi inquired about religion he was told "do not question, just do as you are told" he lived a seemingly 'irreligious' life according to his environment.

Three days after his father's death, on the 10th of September 1963, unable to decline his mother's wish, he attended Friday prayer, where he felt an immense inspiration and desire to understand the reality of religion. That same day he decided to always keep in a state of ablution and committed to performing the prescribed daily prayers (salat).

He commenced his religious education by studying the eleven volumes of Sahih Bukhari, published by the Turkish Directorate for Religious Affairs, the whole of the al-Kutub al-Sittah, and the most authentic Turkish translation of the Quran by the late Elmalili, one of Turkey's most eminent Quran scholars.

He then spent two years undertaking intense studies of the modern sciences. This exceptionally diligent period of education was then followed by an interval of intensive spiritual diets and retreats, leading him in 1965 to write his first book "Reflections" (Tecelliyat). This book holds an important place for Ahmed Hulusi as it is a conglomeration of his views and theological evaluations at the youthful age of 21.

In 1965 he took a solitary journey, as with all his endeavors, to fulfill his pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj).

His principle has always been "Do not be a blind follower of anyone! In the light of Muhammad SAW's teachings, choose and walk your own path in life independently!"

In 1970, when he was working for the Aksam newspaper of Turkey, he began researching the topic of spirits and the evoking of spirits, and published Turkey's first and only book in this field, "Spirit, Man, Jinn" (Ruh Insan Cin).

After discovering that the phrases in the Quran "smokeless fire" and "fire that inhabits the pores" are actually references made to "radial energy", Ahmed Hulusi began to further his research to decipher the teachings of the Quran in the light of science, and shared his findings in his book "The Mysteries of Man" (Insan ve Sirlari) in 1985.

Continuing to integrate the truths in the Quran with the contemporary sciences, Ahmed Hulusi established his understanding of religion on the foundation of the System and Order denoted by the One named Allah, and committed himself to "reading" the reality disclosed by Muhammad SAW, sharing his findings through his writings and the Internet.

Ahmed Hulusi, who has not only read and studied the aforementioned preeminent collections of Islamic Law, but who has also evaluated the works of many renowned Sufi saints and scholars, synthesizes his findings with scientific truths and presents them as an integrated system of rational reality. Ahmed Hulusi strongly believes that people should be evaluated according to their ideas rather than their personalities, and asserts that Muhammad SAW is the best example of this.

While, simple-minded people spend their lives busying themselves spreading rumors about 'personalities', he claims, developed minds engage with data resulting from ideas and thought processes.

In order to refrain from self-promotion, he has not put his surname on any of the books he has written over the last 40 years. He does not claim to be a guru or a teacher to anybody; on the contrary, he chooses to have very little contact with people despite the large demand and interest he receives.

He was forced to put his photos on his books after a few imposters claimed to be "Ahmed Hulusi," gathering and exploiting large crowds of people in the Anatolia region of Turkey.

Ahmed Hulusi, who always held an authentic press card, has never been occupied in a field of profession other than journalism. He has never been a member of any political, social or religious organization, foundation or establishment of any sort. He has spent his lifetime researching Islamic mysticism, or Sufism, and the modern sciences. He is also the first author to offer all his works, including his entire collection of books, writings, and video conferences absolutely free, fully downloadable from his Internet site.

All of his views and ideas are offered without any expectation of material gain.

Due to the February 28, 1997, "postmodern coup" in Turkey, Ahmed Hulusi and his wife Cemile moved to London, where they lived for a year, before settling in the USA, where he still resides today.

Ahmed Hulusi who prefers to live a relatively reclusive life in his small town, recommends that people re-evaluate the original teachings of Muhammad SAW and the Quran in the light of science, without depending on an intermediator.

According to Ahmed Hulusi, in respect of the System disclosed by Muhammad SAW, religious "positions" cannot exist. Every individual has the right to, and is obliged to directly interact with the teachings of Allah through Muhammad SAW and shape their lives accordingly.

Ahmed Hulusi claims, the only person one must follow is Muhammad SAW, as everyone else has a consultative role. He believes people are only accountable of the knowledge imparted by Muhammad SAW and the Quran; as all other views are "relative" and non-binding.

Due to this, Ahmed Hulusi does not encourage anyone to become his 'follower'. He advises people that they should question his teachings and do their own research. He says "don't believe me, find and verify the truth for yourself!"

Ahmed Hulusi is an Islamic intellectualist who tries to share his thoughts with those who have an intellectual and inquisitive mind!

All his works can be accessed and downloaded at the following sites:

Finally... It is important to remember that each person's understanding is according to his or her knowledge base.

Try and evaluate these books with your own minds.

Be concerned about the writings, not the writer.

Duly examine these truths that are complimentarily shared with you.

I hope these books, that are based on the truths of Allah and the System (sunnatullah) and that have the potential to give direction to one's eternal life, will open up new horizons for you.
