I regret buying this microphone stand beccause,
it's plastic, and too light. the tripod legs are too short to keep it upright. the drum sticks slide right through the drumstick holders. when you extend the height of the stand, the extension piece slides right out, instead of having a stop. Don't waste your time with this piece of junk; at least try to get a metal one with some weight to it.

This mic stand is ok for being plastic. Sometimes slide down by itself if not tighten correctly and the drumsticks sometimes fall through the hold. The mic cover are great though. It a ok buy.

Great value,

I had purchased an expensive professional mic stand before, and for the price it did not hold up well to my very animated singing son. This one seems quite sturdy, and they love being able to sing and play an instrument at the same time.

1st of all it's made of PLASTIC and cheeply made. I ordered this hoping for the great quality of my other mic/guitar stand that I ordered from amazon, which is metal and I was very happy with that one. I was expecting the same results, but didn't get them. The stand go delivered and was broken and the mic foam covers are so HUGE it makes the mics look horrible! The drum stick were nice. I returned the entire package and reordered the metal one, which I already have one for my guitars. Don't waste your hard earned money or time on this mic stand. Order the one that holds 4 guitars,1 mic and 2 drumsticks and converts into a mic stand for ONLY $20! I guarantee that one will make you much happier! Happy Shopping :)

The stand did not come with instructions. I think we finally figured it out, but it is very wobbly and constantly falls down during use . . . not worth the price for us!

This mic stand is completely flimsy and barely works at all. It was broken within about 2 weeks of mild usage. The mic stand is made of a very flimsy pvc type material and will not reliable hold up a Rockband microphone. The drum sticks that ship with it as well as they colored mic mute things are all a bunch of garbage. Do yourself a favor and go to a music store and buy a 20 mic stand with a boom. They will be of much better quality and you will enjoy it alot more.

Using this for GH and Rock Band. Cheaply made, but does the job. Stand wobbles, thin plastic, but again it works for my purpose.

Mic stand has a number of problems. It is flimsy, it wobbles in the air when the mic is touched at the top, due to the thin and tall plastic members. Also, the tripod legs are short and raised about the part it rests on and only provides support when the stand is already tipping over. The adjustment for the top tier relies on a rubber o-ring and an requires fully unscrewing the top tier before being able to move it up and down. This is annoying because I play with people who like to rotate singing and are different heights.
I have had experience with the mad catz brand mic stand for the same price and would highly encourage you to purchase that one over this item. The mad catz one also has a controller holder. The only requirements this product has it fails at. (holding up a microphone and being adjustable for height) Further proof of a faulty product, here is what the CTA team has told me in an email, this is an exact quote: "Hey Tom , The microphone stand is mostly used to hold the microphone at mouth level, and one hand would still be supporting the weight of the microphone. It is more of an entry level accessory that a dedicated, fully functional microphone stand. As you mentioned, the weight of the microphone sometimes makes the stand fall over. Do you think your microphone stand is defective? We offer RMA exchanges from one year of the purchase date. Please follow back with me, and let me know how you would like to proceed with this issue. Many Thanks, CTA Support" The manufacturer commented on this review(What's this?) Posted on

Good mic stand. I just expected it to be taller, but I guess it's for drummers. I can make it work with a box
