Universal to UK Plug Adapter

This product does not accept 'polarized' US 2-pin plugs (those with one blade wider than the other). I could not use it to charge my camera or camcorder and was forced to purchase another adapter in the UK (for $10). It did work fine for 3-pin and non-polarized 2-pin plugs so if you're certain that's all you'll need it for it will work for you.

Although not the cheapest unit available I picked this Eforcity Adapter for its excellent build quality. It also accepts US 3 prong (ground) plugs, which many adapters will not handle (some only the US 2 prong polarized plug), So be careful. Also be careful and be sure that the device you are using it with can handle the UK electrical requirements which are 220 volts, 50 cycles. This adapter does not convert UK voltage to US voltage. You have to buy a CONVERTER, not an ADAPTER to do that. All in all a very well made product for less than 10 dollars delivered. It will keep my laptop running nicely during my extended stay in the UK.

Having recently just returned from a trip to Ireland, my husband and I bought two of these plug adapters for our trip. They both worked splendidly. The plugs were used primarily to charge our laptop, iphones, and camera battery. We were both glad that we invested in plugs that had a metal ground input, as some of the ones we were considering buying had plastic ones, and at times a little bit of force was needed to insert them into the plugs in the hotels. Just remember that this is simply an adapter not a converter. So, please make sure that your electrical products are rated for 220V usage rather than just the 120V we use in the US. It is my understanding that most newer electronics can use both, but beware of things with heating elements such as curling irons and/or hair dryers, which I did not use on our trip.

The adaptor worked great in my trip to UK. I didn't have any problem with it. Great!

Just what I needed for a very reasonable price, and quickly shipped. Ironic though, the hotel that I stayed in London had the older version of British plugs which were round, although unique, not the European mainland.

I bought this and a different adapter for a trip to London. The other one was larger and kept falling out of the outlets; this one was fantastic. It worked with all the grounded things I plugged into it, and never came loose from the outlet. It fit easily in my pocket when my hotel manager decided I needed to change rooms double quick. This one came home with me and now lives in my suitcase, the other adapter was left behind for the next guest.

Remember that this is an adapter, not a converter. If your device can't handle the voltage where you're going (up to 240v,) you'll need to get a converter or find another way. (My cell phone would have fried if I'd plugged it in with this, so I charged it via USB with my laptop.)

Took a trip to Ireland and it worked good on my razer, as well as recharging digital camera batteries.

Didn't like this adapror that much. I had to take it apart because it wasn't working. The contacts were not out far enough so it would make contact with my plug. After I got it apart I realized that I didn't need to take it apart to fix the issue so I put it back together then took a small screw driver and bent the prongs out so it would work

I bought this for my vacation in England. My American plugs did fit into the adapter, but not well. It did, however, do the job for which I purchased it. Do keep in mind that it doesn't convert voltage, so if you plug something in with it that doesn't have dual voltage, you'll melt your American appliances.

I'm not sure what else to say other then this does its job converting plugs from pretty much every type to a UK plug. I've never had any problems with any of these. Good product at an excellent price.
