I was actually pretty impressed with this figure. I have my misgivings, so let's talk about those first. The hat isn't removable, which is kind of a bummer. Also the guns are REALLY poor quality. They're made out of some bendy type plastic that looks cheap. Don't expect the barrel on the revolver to stay straight. Especially if you put it in the holster. Also, I kinda wish the bandolier would have been removable or at least movable to a degree. The feathers on it were a nice touch, but they hang at a really wierd angle. Okay. That's all the BAD things about this figure. The good things are GREAT things. Superb sculpt, especially on the face. Little details like the sideburns on his left side and NO sideburns on his right where his face is mangled. The attention to detail with exposed muscle and teeth. Truly, a bit graphic from DC, but I'm not complaining. Detail is good. These aren't the old Super Powers toys we're talking about. The holster for the gun swivels, which allows for posing with the hand on the gun and the gun in the holster a little easier. I used the revolver from my DC showcase Jonah Hex figure for a second gun in his left hand, with the dumb looking gun holstered in his right. The shotgun was a nice touch. Too glossy, in my opinion, but cool nonetheless. The bandolier has a snug fitting holster for it on the back. All in all, a worthwhile purchase and one I'm not disappointed by. If you're a Jonah Hex fan, this figure certainly does the character justice. I'd recommend the DC Showcase Jonah Hex as well, but I REALLY like the face on this one better. The stains and holes in the clothes also add character. The Showcase one looks too clean. And as we know... Mr. Hex ain't that clean of a guy. ;) I give it 4 out of 5. DC Universe Classics needs to quit skimping when it comes to accessories. It's like giving Clint Eastwood a cap gun for Dirty Harry.

I enjoyed this Jonah Hex figure and i have never read a single comic about him. I enjoyed this figure because of very impressive detail and accessories. Even though this figure didn't receive the full standard articulation of dc classics in the stomach and arms, in the name of this figures detail, i am definitly willing to give articulation up slightly. The only reason i gave this figure a four out of five is because of the accessories themselves. The guns are actually made of a rubbery material and may be distorted in the packaging. I'm not calling mattel out on poor choice of material but my guns came all bent and misshapen, though a simple heat and cool technique worked as usual on them. Overall a very impressive figure in detail form DC Classics. :)

Jonah Hex is as cowboy / bounty hunter in the DC Universe old west. Having him on you trail is bad for you if you are an outlaw.
Hex is dressed in a tattered grey shirt, grey hat with crossing swords at the front, cowboy boots, bandoleer, belts and holster. His face is very detailed with the scared right side (due to a red hot tomahawk being pressed to his face) looking appropriately gruesome. I'd love to see this on a Two Face figure. The bandoleer is full of bullets and he has spurs on his boots so he's fairly well detailed all around with an impressively intricate sculpt. His shirt is dirty grey and he wears brown boots, gloves and belts and blue jeans. His hair is dirty blonde under his non removable hat. There are touches of silver and gold such as the belt buckles and bullets in his bandoleer. It is not the most exciting but it is appropriate. He's got a ball neck, but only a tiny bit of tilt in it, ball and pin shoulder, pin elbows and cut wrists. There is no ab crunch but there is a cut waist. He does have the universal hips but they are restricted due to his low hanging shirt. Rounding him off are cut thighs, pin knees and pin ankles. Overall he has plenty of joint but not quite as articulated as some other figures. Jonah comes with two personal accessories for which his hands a sculpted, a pistol and a shot gun. They both are sculpted and painted well but two things bug me. One is they are made of a very soft material - almost rubber like - and you can see that softness (but on the plus side they don't stay permanently bent) and there are no barrel holes with make them look silly viewed from the business end. Also the pistol does not fit really well in the holster. The shot gun on the other hand fits very well the back strap of the bandoleer. They are great to have of course but seem like they could have been a touch better. His other accessory is his piece of collect and connect figure Bane. OK, so old Jonah does not do much for me personally but I can't fault the strength of the figure. I'd give him a solid 3 ½ and will round up to 4. Bane is the tactical genius and venom user who broke Batman's back. As simplistic as his design is they somehow managed to make this a great figure. The sculpt is amazing with little details like the eyelets, stitching and bottoms on his boots, and like the zipper on his mask all hiding in there. His massive chest and arms look great as does the skin tone used. And speaking of the paint it's simple yet effective as well. The boots are a cool high gloss the, gloves more detailed than I thought they'd be and the mask looks perfect. Even his venom dispenser and tubing looks great. He's also as articulated as the smaller figures although some of the joints may differ. Bane is not as hulking as some recent C and C's but still huge - about 8 inches - in comparison to the regular figures. He's a surprising 5 star figure.
