False Advertisement - Don't Get SCAMWowed,

This set of Shamwow towels is supposed to be superabsorbent, yet have the ability to clean shiny surfaces, such as glass. Unfortunately, this product does not live up to the claims on TV.
First I tried the large towel to dry my car after washing. It merely pushed the water around, and when the water started evaporating, the Shamwow started leaving lint on the car that had to be wiped away with a PAPER TOWEL, which this product is supposed to replace. I tried the smaller blue towels for glass - same lint problem, more paper towels. Again, the absorbancy is far overstated in the ads. BUYER BEWARE.

Terrible!,
I'm shocked that people can make huge claims about a product and it doesn't even work as it's claimed. Wasn't very absorbent at all. To me, this product is terrible and not worth the money! You might as well use a bath towel.

We bought this on the "As Seen on TV Store" to test it. ShamWOW basically doesn't work.

I'm not saying Sham..WOW!,

I purchased this item for my father for Christmas. He had seen the commercials for them, and he thought they would be helpful. I must say they work well the first time you use them, but after that they lose the ability to dry that much. They do not work wet, they left streaks and wetness on counter tops and dishes. They are also very stiff when first taken out of the box. They might be fine for purposes such as mats or polishing, but they do not perform most of the stated claims as well as they should for the amount of money you pay.

Useful but Overpriced,
By I would not use the Shamwow to dry an automobile as there are superior products ("the absorber" and a traditional chamois) for use with such objects. They are best used as a household towel and they do replace paper towels. As far as issues with the material of the Shamwow, they need to be washed before their first use and it is best to limit their time in the dryer. I would recommend the product if you can obtain it inexpensively (I think the company now offers two sets for $19.99) but I question the ethics of the sellers of Shamwow. They overcharge on shipping without displaying it before an order is placed. Also, like many "As Seen on TV" products, it is unlikely to live up to the spectacular demonstrations. Overall, the product serves a useful purpose and is not a miracle invention or a piece of garbage. I wish it would be obtainable here at a more competitive price. P.S. I think the above reviewer might be a plant.

I bought this product, but unlike the other reviewers, I was disappointed. I didn't like that the towels have to be air dried, didn't find that they are any more absorbent than a regular dish towel, and do dry stiff. They are made of a slightly scratchy material that reminds me of thick "shop towels" (the thick blue paper towels often found in auto shops). I finally gave up on them and started drying the in the drier with the rest of my laundry. They became much softer than they were, as well as slightly fuzzy. I still use them as dish towels, but honestly, I prefer old pre-folded cloth diapers for general around the house cleaning. I wish I hadn't wasted $19.99 on these. I will definitely do more research in the future when I see an impressive infomercial.

This is simply the most useless product I've ever bought. End of story. I have threadbare towels that work way better than this.

It works great!,

The problem with these types of products is they try to hard to sell them, saying they can do everything and anything. I wouldnt recommend using sham wow to dry the car or clean your glass, but as a super absorbant towel it works wonders. I like the fact it can soak a 20oz coke off the floor and never drip, leaving the carpet feeling dry with no residue. It soaks up dog piddles well enough I don't get a repeat stain in that area. You can cut them up and they are great for kitchen towels and normal around the house spills. You can't wipe with them, just lay it over the spill and let it soak up the liquid. The price sucks but they're worth buying, and you can throw them right in the wash.
