We bought 2 of these seats for my 3 yr old son. He was in a Britax Marathon and he is pretty tall so he just didn't have enough leg room, especially in my SUV. I like how the seatbelt fits securely under the handles, it take an extra few seconds to get the lap belt under there but it's worth it because it stays in place. My son is very comfortable in it and loves it. The material is almost mesh like, so food does stick to it but it falls out if you lift the seat up and brush it off. My son has fallen asleep in it and his head stays in on the supports some of the time. It's nice that the cup holder sits on either side. It actually sits about an inch away from the seat, which the picture doesn't depict very well.

I bought these mainly for the deep side wings. Now when my children fall asleep on long road trips, their heads tilt to the side but stay in the seat. I also appreciate the shoulder belt positioner which allows me to adjust the angle that the shoulder belt sits on my children's shoulders.

UPDATE: Because these seats are narrow, you can fit two in the backseat of a Mini Cooper Hardtop. There is not enough room to attach two cup holders though. I also had to remove the headrests from the seatback and flip them around, otherwise these seats would be sitting too upright to be comfortable for the kids.

This simple design provides aesthetic utility for the minimalist; ease of function for the daddy or mommy on the run; and, of course, safety for the child. And it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I researched dozens of models. This model provides the most seat for your dollar.

Yet again, Combi wins!4.5 years ago we bought our DK5 Travel System stroller/seat combo...still going strong for now our 3rd son! Then we bought the convertible Avatar seat for #1, followed by a Zeus for our second son. Next we purchased this Kobuk for #1 - he's been in his for almost 2 years now and is still loving it. So now that our #2 is ready for a booster, we couldn't find any others on the market that could match up to the sturdiness, comfort and price of this! Our new Kobuk is all we - and #2 son - hoped for!....I just hope it's still around for us in two years' time for #3 (who's about to get the retired Zeus from #2)! :-D ....We swear by Combi!!

I have previously purchased recaro chairs for my Wife's SUV. These are for my smaller sedan. The Recaros are larger and a bit more traditional design.

My thoughts after 1 week;

1. Top notch quality, very tough plastic, like a football helmet.
2. Very modern, clever design, something like from a jet fighter or space shuttle. My sons really think these are cool (age 5 and 8).
3. The air vents are already worth it, it is april I live in Florida.
4. The ease of adjusting the height and shoulder harness. Big, tough levers and release buttons that solidly clunk into place.
5. Excellent documentation with kid ID stickers for the back of the chair, Phone number, allergies, name and address.
6. The belt channels are clearly marked in high contrast red on black, it is hard to mount them in wrong.

They could charge more for these and still be a value.

To sum up, I would reccomend these to friends or family without reservation. My wife may end up with these in her truck as she has the boys more than I.

I research all my purchases very much before I make the final decision. I especially liked this seats curved head rest, not only does it offer protection but it also makes it more comfortable for my child if he were to fall asleep. Another feature about this seat that I really like are the seat belt guides. It just makes it much easier to keep the seat belts in place and it also gives added comfort. It's not squeezing my son super tight and I know he's not messing with his seat belt. This seat material is very breathable which make it nice in the summer heat! I love how easy it is to move from car to car! Great booster seat, I would recommend to anyone!

I wanted a seat for hot weather where my toddler could be comfortable. Something like an Aeron chair (office furniture), where the material breathes and doesn't overheat in the Summer and sun. Graco had made a booster type car seat where the bottom was the same as an Aeron chair a few years ago, but they stopped making it for some reason. This seat is the next best thing, and maybe even better, because the entire seat, both bottom and back rest, breathe, it's superior for safety and the cup holder (which my little one loves) really works well. In short, a fantastic booster style car seat for any season, and excellent for Summer and sun to keep the little ones comfortable.

We love this booster. We bought 2 at first and subsequently 2 more as a present. The seat is easy to handle, the seatbelt fits snug yet confortable and keeps our precious cargo secured, and the children love them!

I love my son's new car seat. I like the mesh part of the car seat because it allow air to go through. Also its a two in one car seat and a booster.Combi Kobuk Air-Thru, Licorice

Couldn't be more pleased with this seat. My 4 year old son fits very well. He's comfortable in it, and the cupholder is a nice little perk :) I'm looking forward to the summer, when we can see the Air-Thru feature in action. My son gets so upset about his seat being hot in the summer, hopefully this will help.

One feature I would adjust is the higback snap-on. To snap the high back on to the base, you lay the back on the floor and hook it to the base, then rotate the back up. I wish it would click into place better. When picking up this seat with the high back attached, it randomly flops back down, making it almost impossible to carry without getting frustrated. Not a big deal if the seat is in the car, but if you move car seats around often for childcare, etc. This will probably drive you nuts. :)

Overall great seat, would buy a second one.
