The day after I bought this I locked my keys in my car and had someone drive me home to get the Amazon box. After working on our car (07 Taurus) with two teenage sons for an hour we had no success. Luckily a security guard drove by with a better tool and we were successful in a minute. Maybe it was the skill, but he was convinced it was the poor strength of the metal. Your milage may vary, but be warned the instructions are not very helpful in newer cars.
I was also told it was questionably legal to possess these, but no basis to know better and I can prove it is only my own car I was trying to get into.

I purchased this item because I didnt want to pay pop-a-lock $100 plus to open my grandmother's door. It took me only 20 mins to get the car door open. My only complaint is that the metal is thin. It's a good set for some one with patience who does want to spend a lot of money. It worked for my situation but it's definitely not for everyone.
