4.0 out of 5 stars Very cool cruise ship
When my daughter saw this, she just had to have it. She begged and I eventually bought it for her for Christmas.
It is a great little ship. It comes with a pool, a little sundeck, a balcony, a diner, captain's steering wheel room and my favourite, a small area with stickers on it making it look like one of those glass-bottomed boats, showing coral, fish, etc...

2.0 out of 5 stars I'm disappointed
I'm almost 7yrs old and I bought myself this toy with money I received for Christmas 2003. I was very disappointed especially with a barbie toy .The pieces, kids across America can lose these pieces and parents will feel sorry because they pay alot of money for it.

However, I was a little disappointed that the boat didn't have an area for sleeping. The table is small and the ship would have been better with some clothes. But overall, a great buy. My daughter loved it.

My daughter, who just turned 5, got this for her birthday and she loves it. She spends hours making up stories with her Barbies and setting up the buffet line and playing with the plastic pool that comes with it. I like that it folds up very compactly and can easily be put away. There is also a cute little camera (child-size)for taking pictures on the cruise and she has a great time with that as well. All in all, a winner.

I got the Barbie Cruise Ship for my 8th birthday this past month. I really love it a lot! I has a pool, bunk beds, and even a buffet for breakfast, lunch, or diner, you choose! I was playing with it last week when the trouble began. When the barbie ship opened it split in half. I was very upset, so my mommy returned it for a new on, cause she still has the reciept. My new one was better, i guess the one i got before was just faulty. So my advise to you is get the ship and save th reciept just in case to get a new one. Cause my new one is a close to perfect as you can get!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars CUTE BARBIE CRUISER!!, February 6, 2004

Cute cruise ship....my girls love it!! Comes with a camera that activates great cruise sounds. Very realistic overall...pretty easy to assemble. My biggest complaint is the pool--when I tried to inflate it, I discovered that it had a hole. Incredibly disappointing...but overall, it was a great freebie (free during the 2003 Christmas season with a minimum Barbie purchase).

5.0 out of 5 stars cute toy, December 27, 2003

My daughter got this for Christmas, along with the Swan Lake castle and the Happy Family grandparents' kitchen. After spending half the night assembling the castle I was pleasantly surprised to find the ship is relatively easy to assemble. Actually, there's no assembly to speak of. You just press a button and it opens up. There are some stickers to put on, but nothing like the castle. I got this toy for my six-year old daughter, but my seven year old son enjoys it as well. However, I wouldn't buy it for a boy--all pink and Barbie just doesn't seem like a boy toy. I was surprised at how my kids "put together" their Barbie toys. There was to be a ball at the castle. The various dolls took the ship to 'castle land.' Upon arriving, they had their various carriages awaiting to take them to the ball. And the feast was prepared in Grandma's kitchen.

This toy seems durable. Its constructed of thick plastic, not flimsy. However, I don't really think it was meant to be a water toy. That is, one shouldn't expect it to float in the pool or bathtub. Its nice in that it folds up for storage, unlike the castle. Even my daughter asked where we are going to put the castle. Right now its on a table in the living room, but it blocks the TV. My advice--if I had to buy just one toy, the castle or the cruise ship, I'd take the cruise ship. Of course, I got my ship free with the TRU offer.

My five-year-old daughter received this from Santa this Christmas, and she's had a ball with it so far. Another reviewer mentioned that the front doesn't stay on well, and that's the only problem I've noticed. I especially like the way all the pieces store inside the ship when it's closed, there's even a place to put small pieces. I got mine free, but I would have paid $60 for it, I think it was a good value.

My daughter had received this for a gift, luckily I hadn't purchased it. The top front part of the ship does not hold on tight enough. And there really isn't too much to do with it. My daughter was expecting more from it. I also thought that there were some kind of beverages and cups and things that you were supposed to get, did not see them in the box. For a Barbie product, I really am not impressed.

i went to my cousins house and we played with this toy. after about 10 minutes, the door broke, not off, just cracked. i thought barbie toys were better than this, hope this helped. i would not get this toy for anyone under 10. and only if they are collecters and mature. and wont break things easily.
but this happened a whilt ago and i would get it only if i was careful. key word here people... be CAREFUL, you can still get it though!!! fun, it just depends if you take care of it
