4.0 out of 5 stars My son loves this little guy!!
My son received this as a present for his first birthday--we have only had this for a couple of weeks, but so far has taken quite a beating from him! He just hugs and kisses him and gets the greatest kick out of those ears!!(As do both his parents!)I do not understand the previous rating regarding hard parts, everything is covered with plush, maybe not the softest but...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not totally what I had expected
A friend had shown me this toy and I thought it to be the perfect gift for my 17 month old grandson. The Eeyore I had seen sang the song "Do Your Ears Hang Low?" while his ears flapped up and down. This happens to be my grandson's favorite song, and always seems to calm him down when he is upset. So when my Eeyore arrived I was quite disappointed to find that he did...

He just hugs and kisses him and gets the greatest kick out of those ears!!(As do both his parents!)I do not understand the previous rating regarding hard parts, everything is covered with plush, maybe not the softest but nothing that could harm a child. Keeping in mind that this toy is rated for an 18 month old child, I do not see anything that will cause harm or hazard to a one year old.

My 15 month old loves this toy. It makes him smile and laugh so hard when Eeyore claps his ears. It was love at first site. He plays with all the time. Its easy for him to push his paw to make him sing. And he enjoys clapping to the beat.

So when my Eeyore arrived I was quite disappointed to find that he did not sing, but only said a few phrases in his distinctive Eeyore voice. I just never thought that the same toy might have different voice offerings. While it is still a cute toy, it is not what I was expecting, and did not seem to have the reaction from my grandson that I was hoping for. Maybe after all the excitement of Christmas dies down and he has time to spend more time playing with his new toys, it will become a favorite. Only time will tell if this will be considered a hit.

I purchased my wife an Eeyore like this two years ago for Christmas. When our one year old granddaughter was old enough to play with it, she loved it. So we purchased this one for her for Christmas. She will love it. One of the review questions is "How would you rate this toy's educational value?". Of course this is nearly zero since this toy is just plain old fun. Not every toy has to have to be educational. Kids can have fun. The more the better. A child is young only once, let them enjoy it. Eeyore will help them to achieve this goal. Very highly recommended for fun.

This is adorable! My friend's grandson has this toy. The song is pretty catchy "If you're happy and ya know it, flap your ears". Her grandson is five, almost six, and he loves Eeyore, so he has this and loves it. I highly suggest it to preschoolers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eeyore is my son's best friend, July 17, 2005

I just have to write an online review for this toy. I can't say enough great things about it! I have even vowed that this would be my newly pregnant friend's first gift! My husband first bought it for me because I love Eeyore--well wouldn't you know that the same night he got it for me I found I was pregnant! Well, after my son was born he was cranky and the only thing that would quiet him was Eeyore singing to him with his ears flapping! My son has a now repaired congenital heart defect and Eeyore went to all of his appointments, all of his Echo's, pre op testing and then was there all the way through his recovery in PICU. Eeyore got the first smile after he came out of open heart surgery. Eeyore also went with him in the ambulance and was with him before and after his catheterization. Today, my son is well under the age recommendation but he loves Eeyore, still smiles and laughs at it. My only complaint which I can't really complain about is that we had to replace Eeyore--during my sons recovery in PICU poor Eeyore's ears could only twitch even with new batteries! He was at that point a year old but boy did those ears get a workout. We immediately bought a new one the next day. If you want a plush toy for your baby then buy a stuffed animal. Happy ears Eeyore has put a smile on many a child, doctors, nurses, and just about anyone's face and it will psut one on yours and your childs!!!
