I love thrillers that come down to good vs. evil and that use spirtuality as the basis for the story. Maybe it harkens back to my upbringing, but some of the scariest stuff to me is about the forces of evil beyond anything human - which is exactly the case in Devil Unknown.

Nathan Hanlin has lost his faith due to tragedy. Now he's facing an even greater and older evil that threatens more people he loves. Can his faith save him or is he and everyone in Bandit Creek doomed to face the darkness alone?

This is a wonderfully creepy story that is actually a bit of a teaser. I'm looking forward to reading the continuation in a later book.

This novella had me on edge throughout the entire story. Strange storms, a murder of crows, a strange man... And Nathan Hanlin, a former pastor with a sad and compelling past that haunts him endlessly. Somehow everything is connected, but Nathan can't figure out how. He must confront his past in order to help rid the town of the evil that has taken up residence.

I highly recommend this thriller. It's an unnerving read, and you know you want something to carry over from your Halloween spirit, right?
