5.0 out of 5 stars Chess Piece Candy Molds
I was extremely pleased with these candy molds! They were very easy to use and clean. Their size was perfect (they are the normal size of chess pieces, NOT miniture) so they looked great on the cake chess board we had created. They were a big hit!!!!!Chess Pieces Candy MoldsCHESS PIECES Miscellaneous Candy Mold Chocolate

This is a cheap product. My chocolate pieces chipped and would not slide easily off the mold. I ended up wasting perfectly good chocolate. I would recommend purchasing a polycarbonate plastic mold instead.

Bought this mold and the chess/checker board mold from the same company. Worked well. The cake was made for a birthday party and was a huge hit! It didn't come with instructions, so read up on making them if you are unsure. I filled the molds with chocolate and froze them until the were solid. I set those aside and made a fresh set. While those were freshly poured, I put the solid one on top to combine them as one piece. Pop back in the fridge or freezer. Washing with luke warm water to not warp the plastic and not scrubbing to hard to avoid scratching were useful info too.

Great for a Twilight themed party or for a chess officianado. Works great. Just make two halves and stick together with melted chocolate. The size is just right to fit on a cake or you can use the chessboard mold adn skip the cake.

One more thing that sounded fun just long enough to buy the supplies (making chess pieces out of chocolate for the chess teacher at school)... glad I didn't pay too much since they're now in the basement with the rest of my 'good' ideas.
