4.0 out of 5 stars WHERE IS JASMINE
My 4 year old daughter loves this toy. I have to admit I am quite amused by the whole arrangement. It's a great toy, but where are the princesses? I have searched high and low and finally I have four, but no Jasmine. I can't believe Fisher Price has made these assessories impossible to find. 3.0 out of 5 stars Fun toy but online order was misleading
We celebrated Christmas in November as my son is leaving for Iraq next week. I ordered the Disney Princess Spin N' Dance Ballet Studio for his 4-year-old twin daughters--my only grandchildren--who adore both Disney princesses and ballet. 4.0 out of 5 stars WHERE IS JASMINE, October 13, 2004

My 4 year old daughter loves this toy. I have to admit I am quite amused by the whole arrangement. It's a great toy, but where are the princesses? I have searched high and low and finally I have four, but no Jasmine. I can't believe Fisher Price has made these assessories impossible to find. I was annoyed at first because it only comes with one which meant I had to go store to store looking for all these pieces which means more money. I searched Fisher Price's web-site and they don't even allow you to purchase it off their page. And I guess I'm still looking for Jasmine because she is the only ethnic looking one and my daughter identifies with her the most. What's up with that? Where is Jasmine?

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun toy but online order was misleading, November 20, 2004

We celebrated Christmas in November as my son is leaving for Iraq next week. I ordered the Disney Princess Spin N' Dance Ballet Studio for his 4-year-old twin daughters--my only grandchildren--who adore both Disney princesses and ballet. After reading all the reviews, I understood that I needed to buy the extra princesses and was willing to do so. I was surprised, initially, that some reviewers complained of difficulty finding the extra princesses since a link was provided that said "See accessories for this item." It pointed to the Disney Princess Figure Giftpack, which I promptly purchased. It wasn't until the girls tore open the individual boxes containing the extra figures that it became clear that these figures were not compatible with the Ballet Studio--they were the same size but lacked the necessary magnetic bottom. The girls very disappointed, as was I, especially since the incompatible figures could not be returned since I hadn't anticipated needing to protect the packaging.

It isn't enough to warn potential buyers that they need to buy the additional figures separately--they need to be pointed to the right link to make the purchase or else this toy should not be offered.

That said, the girls were not disappointed with the Ballet Studio itself in that it makes an excellent animated music box. I got them the Dream Dazzlers 48 Piece Glamour Dress-Up Trunk which contained numerous princess outifts that doubled as ballerina outfits. We had dancing ballerinas all last night and most of today. They were genuinely delighted, and it seems like they will enjoy this combination of toys for months to come. Of course, now I have to hunt up the extra princesses. Sigh.

2.0 out of 5 stars Extra Ballerinas are Gone, February 4, 2006

If you bought this toy in 2004 and RUSHED out to get the extra dolls, you are generally happy with it, as you will see in the reviews below. But if you bought it post 2005, when the extra dolls were no longer available (although the ballet studio is still in stores) you'll have either 1) have a very lonely Cinderlla twilling around the floor, or 2) a very angry Mommy or Daddy who need to shell out (...)these now "rare" "collectors item.

4.0 out of 5 stars fun for girls who love the princesses, August 31, 2004

I really like this toy-we found the extra princesses first, then the studio came out-we can't seem to locate the Princess Jasmine doll though. It seems like toy companies always do that-leave one character impossible to find. My daughter is 2 1/2 and loves the princesses and ballet, so this is perfect for her. She really likes playing with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but a pain to keep together., November 3, 2004
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars

We got this for my daughter for her 4th birthday last week. She really enjoys the ballerinas dancing. She gets up and dances along. My 2 year old daughter is also enjoying this toy.

My beef with it is that, like the others, the back will not stay on for anything. I feel like I fix it a hundred times a day.

As for finding all the princesses, Jasmine was the hardest to find, but I located her at Kohl's, on sale to boot. Just today I saw her at Wal-Mart. So don't give up she's out there!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great fun for my 3 year old daughter, January 26, 2005

This toy deserves the 5 stars for fun only if you have at least two other ballerinas to accompany the one that comes with the studio (the "Limited Edition" Cinderella)! After an exhaustive internet search, and after seeing that ebay sellers are gouging the prices (especially for the rare Jasmine, which is available by mail at a reasonable price if you have purchased the Aladdin DVD), someone here posted a note about going directly to Fisher-Price.com and ordering the remaining four ballerinas from there (go to the shop from a previous catalog icon). I cannot thank that person enough! While they were backordered for a while way before Christmas, it made no difference to my daughter who received three of the four offered so far (the cost is $18.00 plus s&h for the set of four). As of today - 1/27/05 - Ariel, Belle, Snow White & Cinderella are currently available!

She puts on her ballerina costume and dances along with her princesses - it's so cute! The memories the toy have created are priceless. Thank you so much for all the advice posted here - it's great fun for the child, and entertaining beyond compare for the grown-ups.

I just bought the new Aladdin DVD today. In the package is a booklet of special offers and coupons, specifically one for "Ballerina Jasmine" for $2.50. Hope this helps (of course, in true capitalist Disney style, you have to buy another Disney product to find out about this!)

I purchased this for my two year old daughter for christmas, as she loves anything to do with princesses. However I have yet to find any of the other princesses that go with this set. There is one doll that comes with the studio, but one isn't as much fun as two, or three, or even four! So where are they? How do we get them?

5.0 out of 5 stars Forget the extra dolls!, November 18, 2006
This review is from: Disney Princess Ballet Studio (Toy)
You'd be amazed how many toys nowadays have magnets and hence can dance with Cinderella on the Disney Ballet Studio! Our ballet studio is home to My Little Pony, Littlest Pet Shop critters, Robots as well as Polly Pocket toys, all of whom regularly dance with Cinderella. Anything with a magnet (in their feet or otherwise) will do and is sure to entertain!

My daughter (and my son too!) LOVE this toy. We only have one princess but were happily surprised at the fact that you can put certain My Little Ponys on it. Some come with magnetic hoofs and they dance around with the doll! Have fun!
