I bought this for my son's 1st birthday, and he loves it! He was able to play with it immediately. He loved to flip the pages on the book, watch the lights on the keys, make the fishy move and press on the crayons. There are many activites for your little one on this toy that will help him with cause and effect. There is also a hi-low volume setting, which is nice if Elmo's voice drives you nutty like it does me! It's a nice sized toy, perfect for little hands to hold and use, and it's small enough to travel with you. Steven never stopped playing with his piano and I think he still would be if it hadn't broke. Don't get me wrong! I think it is a quality toy. He had the stomach flu and Elmo and his Piano were a victim of it. I don't think any electronic toy would have survived that =( Almost a year later, Steven still tries to play with it, hoping it will make music again. this toy is definately worth purchasing!

My son loves this toy. It's bright, durable, it plays lots of songs and it's easy on the batteries (our first set that the toy came with lasted for almost a whole year with frequent use). One key moves Elmo's head back and forth, one key spins Dorothy (the fish) around in her bowl, and the other keys move the whistle-shaped figures up and down. The song book flips for three different levels of fun.

The only complaint I have is that the key that spins Dorothy and also the key that moves Elmo's head are too stiff for a baby or even a younger toddler to push by himself.

I bought four of these for my daughter, Reese, and her two cousins, and her little friend. They all LOVE Elmo's piano! It keeps them busy for what seems like hours. I couldn't be happier with this product and it's durable too! They pounce on it, bang on the keys, turn it upside down, and Elmo still keeps talking and playing music. Thanks for having such a great gift idea!!

My one year old received this toy as a Birthday present and it was a big hit. He absolutely loves it! Daddy never tires of the music because it is always accompanied by giggles and a bright smile! The toy has one design flaw... There are three modes of play. You change modes by turning the music page on the piano. Mode 1 and 3 work as advertised when you turn the page. Mode 2 works as whatever mode was used before it (1 or 3) unless you turn the toy off and back on while in mode 2.

My son got this for his 1st birthday and loves it. He can spend long periods of time just playing with it. He carries it everywhere and has so much fun. I highly recommend this toy.

We (my husband and I) brought this toy for our 2 year old last Christmas because then she was an Elmo fanatic. She still plays with this toy even though her intrests have shifted to Dora! At first I wasn't quite sure what this thing did except make noise but as I watched her play with it, I realized it taught her to follow directios.
It's a mode where elmo asks you to follow the light and the keys light up one by one as you press them and I was truly amazed at my baby actually following the directions.
This toy also teaches numbers. Overall, this toy is great for toddlers and tends to stay a favorite unlike those toys that end up at the bottom of the toybox

Personally, I don't like this toy at all and was ready to return it after we had it home for two hours--my toddler, however, had different ideas!!

Elmo's head moves very stiffly and is a slightly different color from his body. The sound is very "tinkly" and just doesn't sound like a high quality toy. In fact, at one point I thought Elmo was speaking in a different language--it wasn't until my husband listened to the toy that we were able to figure out Elmo was saying "follow the lights."

However, my 21 month old LOVES this toy and has played with it multiple times a day since we brought it home. She even wanted to take it to bed with her the first night and wouldn't go upstairs until she put her Elmo piano "night-night" in the family room!

She has no problems pressing the keys and turning the pages of the piano book. She also quickly found the on/off switch and sometimes startles herself by turning the volume onto the loud setting.

One of the games (for lack of a better word) this toy has is a "follow the lights" game where the child plays a song as they press the lit up piano keys--this is way too advanced for a young child and she has no interest in this feature.

Even though I'm not a fan of the toy, based on my daughter's love of it, I gave this piano a 4 star rating.

My daughter adores Elmo and music, but she lost interest in this toy quickly. I think the keys were a little hard for her to push. I was a little disappointed, but the toy is durable.

My son received this toy for his first birthday, actually he received two of them. He absolutley loves the toy. He will make it play a song and he will run around in cricles like he is dancing. He loves it!!! However, he threw-up on it and it just started to die slowly. The next thing my husband and I knew, it made a long drawn out sound and then it just quit working. I personally think that this toy should be more durable for the price. We had taken the second one back after his birthday party, but I know we will be going back to the store to buy another one because this was his FAVORITE toy. I also think it is ironic that there was another person on the review who had the same incident happen with vomit.

he got this toy for a Christmas gift from his cousin. He plays with it every day. The music is not to loud and it is portable enough to take with us on the go!
