These 139 magnetic wood pieces and perpetual calendar can be used year-after-year. The folding design allows for easy storage and transport. This magnetic calendar is undated, so it can be reused month after month, year after year. Use the month magnets to identify the month, and then stick the magnetic numbers on the appropriate days of the week. Hinged panels fold out for hanging - the top half is a calendar, and the bottom half is a blank, white magnetic surface for storing month and year magnets and colorfully illustrated "reminder" pieces. There's one for every occasion you can think of, so you'll never miss an important date or activity - Test Day, Mother's Day, Canada Day, Kwanzaa, Go To Dentist and more. Includes 139 pieces. This is a great calendar for the kids. I have a nine year old who is really beginning to understand how all the parts of month, season, and holiday's work. My five year old loves to play with the magnets. He is learning the numbers and gaining understanding that each day has a name and a number attached to it. This is a great way to help the kids learn there seasons! The only draw back that I can see is if you lose any magnets I do not know if we can replace them.

I love the calendar and chart board. I have them for my 2boys. I bought them for my nieces birthday. She love the boys. Everyone that comes over wants to play with them. But they really work to learn the days of the week and the month. The Chart board works well too. The boys know what they have to get done for the day and get rewarded with a token...Math we kept great to do with children. We make it a fun game.

I purchased this for a young child who's father is in the military and he travels quite a bit. It helps her count down the days until daddy returns. It also helps her keep track of other special events like family visiting, holidays or school activities.
