I bought this for my son's first birthday and he loves it. My four year old also really likes it. The array of toys allows both of them to play with the instruments and have a little band. The drum has held up extremely well, I assumed that would be broken within a week, but it is still going strong 6 months later. However, the drum sticks have been broken in two creating a possible chocking hazard for my 1 year old. Both of my boys are terribly rough on toys and usually toys don't last long, but this has been a great toy for both of them.

I just bought this set from Target store for the same price as here. My almost 2 year old twins like it okay, however, they fight for the drum sticks. I was disappointed that my set did not have a ladybug xylophone in it, even though it was sealed. I like the set, but it seem a bit overpriced for what you get...

I bought this toy for my 9 month old son.

Even though it is intended for older children, my son is just thrilled with everything that came with this drum. He shakes the toys, beats on the drum, and gets so very excited. When he started to crumble paper and shake things just to hear noise, I knew he needed some musical instruments. This was JUST the ticket! Thanks Parents, for such a cute and fun toy!

Buyer beware ....... the picture is misleading. The "Ladybug Xylophone" is no longer included in this set.

A for ant, B for bee, C for catepillar. Supercute and lots of fun! especially love that everthing fits inside the drum for 'easy storage'.

i agree, i love this toy. both my boys just love it! however, i also agree with the pricing. i'm so glad i went to target instead of buying it online. i saved more than half the online price! what's up with that???

I loved the BeeBopBand. My daughter uses the rattles and laughs hysterically. My only beef about the online price is that it was 36$ online and it was only 19.99 on site at the Target store. I was very disappointed that the pricing was not comparable. I in the future will buy toys at the store if there is that much of a mark-up...not to mention 8$ shipping and handling.

This is a well built toy and has lots of extras and the kids love it.

I love this band in a drum! My 9 month old daughter is really into music so I got this for her (despite the age recomendation) She loves to shake the bee rattle and the ant bells and even the caterpillar tambourine. The ladybug "xyzlophone is too hard to get a bell sound out of and when it makes a sound it is very soft so it doesnt get much attention.

Now the centepede drumsticks are my only gripe - they are very long and very hard and for young musicians. My daughter likes to swing them around and occasionally hits herself or one of us with the hard 'head' of the stick.

Ok in all fairness she is 9 months too young according to the age recomendation but, if you hide the drumsticks for a few months - the rest of the band is perfect - even for a 9 month old!

This is a great starter set to introduce children to musical instruments. The pieces are all colorful, easy to hold and fun to play with. My daughter loves to beat on the drum and enjoys shaking the other instruments to make noise. Other children that come to our house also enjoy this toy. This is a great introduction to music, but I think the Melissa & Doug music sets will suit older children better.
