5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, November 10, 2006
This review is from: Busy Street Activity Center (Toy)
This toy is absolutely wonderful. It is so safe and sturdy for the little one. My Son loves anything that has wheels! and is thrilled with the 4 cars in this busy street toy! After 4 months he still likes playing with it. Though many of "Parents" selections are good, this one is excellent. Encourages your kid to stand and play - so I think this is suitable for kids who are trying to pull themselves to stand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great activity cube, October 21, 2006
This review is from: Busy Street Activity Center (Toy)
I purchased this toy for my daughter when she was 11 months old. Now at 21 months she is definitely more interested in it then before. She plays with it every night before bedtime, and especially loves to push the cars and the wooden triangles around. I love that it's not noisy and can still entertain my daughter for at least a full half hour (believe me that's a LOT!). I think we will get a lot more use out of this toy. Overall, a great investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Activity, January 9, 2007
This review is from: Busy Street Activity Center (Toy)
I bought this for my year old grandaughter and am more than pleased. It is very heavy so as the child stands up to play it does not move at all. The corners are rounded so there are no sharp points for the child to hurt themselves on. It will hold their attention for quite a while as there are five activities for them to play with. The price was very reasonable compaed to other similar products.

We owned the busy zoo for several months and were so happy with it that I wanted to buy this one also, I was lucky to find it used, and I am so happy that I did! Any toy that can keep my 14 month old interested day after day is a big winner in our house.
The busy street is a little more callenging than the busy zoo for two reasons. First, because the shapes on the wires have to be twisted in a certain position to fit through the holes. Second, there is a door that needs to be opened up in order for some of the cars on top of the structure to go from one side to the other. I think those two things would be a little bit too difficult for a baby younger than maybe 13 months, but don't let that stop you from buying it.
The two sides that are not shown are A) the whole alphabet on individual spinning pieces and B) 6 gears that interlock and spin.
This toy is made of great quality and it's a nice heavy piece. I think this toy will last much longer than many of our other toy purchases.

This is a must have for people that want to encourage their child to learn how to stand, occupy themselves, and learn cause and effect. My son always comes back to this toy.

When I bought this for my daughter she was 1 and like most toys built for small children she really didn't start playing with this toy until she was 2 and plays with it still on occasion even now at 3. I liked the toy and was glad she still found use for it 2 years later.

This product is school classroom quality. Durable, bright and safe. My son likes to move all of the moveables. We have to rotate it because he's not walking yet, but when he does I think he'll enjoy it even more. I recommend this toy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy elsewhere, Amazon is TOO expensive, MUCH cheaper at other places, November 20, 2007

Great toy, but not sure why Amazon is selling this for about $100 MORE than if you buy it elsewhere. Target sells it for $47 (Just bought it today). Other online sites sell it for about $90. Amazon is very expensive in their toys. Buy elsewhere!

I bought this for my kitchen so my 9 and 22 month old would have something to do besides pull out all my cookbooks, pots, etc. It has helped. They really like it.

I looked at all the activity cubes and this one seemed to have the most "stuff". So far, the cars and beads going through the doors and other holes on top is the favorite game. But spinning the alphabet blocks and gears are also fun. The baby likes spinning the puzzle pieces. It's nice to know that as they get older these will actually teach them something, for now they are just fun moving parts. My toddler also likes the animals and the doors you can hide them behind. This really does have a lot to keep them busy and more than one kid can play at once. It is sturdy, cute, wood, has no batteries, and we all like it. I think this is a toy we'll have for a long time and then pass on to someone else. I wish I had one when I was young!
