Everyone liked the fading in and out eyes!
Louise Bray
The fading out lights are mounted on plastic goggles but sit below the eyes so not to block the vision, which is great.
good food's friend
We used a little duct tape and it sort of worked.

I almost didn't buy this because of the experince the other reviewer had. My 7 year old son insisted and the price was great so I went for it. The costume fits him very well and looks great. The glowing glasses we received work great and appear to be well designed and constructed. I'm not sure this costume will last a long time but is certainly worth more than most other customes we've seen in and around this price range. Also, it is worth mentioning that the costume looks great without the weapon - even my 7 year old agrees that it's creepy enough!

It was my son that was really disappointed in the fade in/out glasses and refused to wear them. On the right side of the glasses there was a defect in the bottom half which caused the glasses on the one side to just half light up

I bought this for my 10 year old this Halloween, based on the mostly positive reviews, and also because it was different than what most of his friends were going as.

The Good:
Simple and sinister.
The idea of the glasses is neat.

The Bad:
The glasses had a short or a broken wire or something, because instead of fading in and out, they kind of sputtered (I don't want to say they flickered, because it didn't really look cool at all), and eventually stopped working.

The Not-So-Good-But-Not-So-Bad:
I ordered a Large, which is rated as a 12-14. My 10 year old was too tall for it to be real flowing. It covered his arms fine, but the bottom of the robe didn't even get to his ankles, more like mid to lower shin. We compensated with black pants, which, in the dark, took care of the problem.

The End Game:
The idea is good, but the costume is cut small, and the glasses are a gamble. Seeing that it wasn't on sale, I would say you'd do better going with something else.

Great costume, but the medium, size 8/10 was more like a 4/5! Had to be returned, and we bought the large size at a local store.

The product looks cool. The quality is so-so. For something you only use it on Halloween, this is not a big problem. The true problem is the size. I thought the size large would be very large for my boy who is almost 10 years old. It turns out the Costume is relatively small, and size "large" fits him barely...

The length was a little short, my boy is pretty short and it still barely came down past his knees...

I am deployed and I ordered this to send to my sons haloween costume. It arrived at his house broken. The glowing eyes didnt work at all, or ever! My son was very sad, and I was very upset that the gift I sent him was worthless.

It seems that most of the reviews focus on the glasses. They are uncomfortable for me, but my son says that they aren't bad. If you're wondering how the glasses light up and your kids can still see out - the lights are attached to the bottom of the glasses, so if you're wearing glasses, the lights would be on your cheeks. Like some of the other reviews, the left light is not as bright as the right light, but mine wasn't that noticeable. Just slightly less bright. The wire and battery holder attached to the glasses is a little bit cumbersome because the wire is rather thick and the battery holder will have to fit into your kid's pocket. I believe the wire is long enough to reach pants, but I suppose a pocketed shirt would be better.

Size run a little small for the body part of the costume, but the mask is roomy. My son wears size 10/12 clothes and the large fits him just right. It's one piece, with the face part covered with a translucent black cloth. I'm not sure how well my son will see out of it at night, so I would highly recommend a flashlight. The mask/headpiece fit me and it was actually quite comfortable. It didn't make me sweat like most masks out there, and I was able to breathe freely.

In the package is the mask/headpiece, the glasses with the glowing lights, gloves, the body of the costume, a piece of matching black cloth for the belt. There is NO sickel and NO boots. Those must be purchased separately.

Happy Halloween!
