Product Description

Editorial Review

Dinner's on! A cute toy for budding chefs, this make-believe kitchen lets preschoolers pretend they're cooking along with mom and dad, and features a couple of chatty appliances: Bake the Oven, Zap the Microwave, and Mixy the Blender. Pressing the red buttons on the stovetop makes them talk ("Hey, Mixy--what's shakin'?" "I am!"), while Bake the Oven's eyes and mouth move. There's also a whole spread of plastic food and utensils, including a freshly baked pie, a slice of pizza, a sauté pan, and a pair of sunny-side-up eggs. Other elements include a tick-tocking timer and two attachable shelves. Included are three AA batteries. --Andy Boynton

4.0 out of 5 stars New batteries go under the right burner, November 24, 2006

There is a small screw in the right burner - lift up that burner, and it takes 3 AA batteries. I think it might have come with the batteries already in it, so it took some looking (and a lot of unscrewing) to find them.

All the kids like using this kitchen, and it can help keep them out of our hair when we are cooking. I am a bit annoyed by the way the microwave door comes off so easily though.

For what it is, it is pretty good. Probably closer to 3.5 stars than 4.

i was all set to buy my 2 year old this kitchen. i loved how it looked on amazon. however, i didn't take note of the size, and got a real shock when i went to the store! its tiny! i thought my daughte would be able to stand and play with it, but instead she would have to kneel. and even then, the kitchen would come up to her torso. if you're looking to buy a play kitchen your child can play 'in', this is not the one for you. however, it is still a cute toy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Kitchen at a Great Price!, October 2, 2004

My 2 1/2yr old son loves this kitchen. He especially likes how the mixer shakes when its being played with and the microwave lights up when there is food being " cooked ". It comes with a decent amount of playfood compared to other small kitchens and is resonablly priced as well. We bought him a personalized apron and a llittle miniature chef's hat. He LOVES to play with this toy and likes to make his baby brother " yum yum snacks ". He also has the BBQ Grill and the Lawnmower. These talking toys are durable and fun. They provide hours of quality playtime. He likes me to pretend to cook with him. Honestly, I like it too!
