My wife bought me this toy for Christmas, and out of the box one of the three rockets flew maybe 10 feet, and the other two rarely left the launcher. Being the mechanic/nerd that I am, I pulled off the feet on the bottom and began to dis-assemble the toy. A very interesting design inside. The problem with the launcher was the spring loaded plastic plunger (not rubber) that leaked air for each rocket. I applied some vasoline to the tube that the plunger rides in, on the plunger, and several of the mechanical sliding surfaces and gears for lubrication and sealant. Be careful to watch the routing of the wires and orientation of the top piece to the middle piece (two buttons need to be depressed for auto-ranging, my first attempt was backwards). It now launches the rockets ~20 feet, but the process was fairly technical.

I am very happy with this purchase. The driver software installed quickly. Within 5 minutes of opening the box, I was blasting co-workers with surprising accuracy. The unit works as advertised without any modifications. The firing range is about 15 feet when fired from a desktop. The projectile speed is fast enough to startle anyone you fire at, but slow enough to not cause injury. All three rocket launch tubes work equally well.
The targeting software has a red dot that shows the current x and y targeting offset relative to the origin, which is a nice feature for pinpoint accuracy on successive shots. After I get done bombarding my co-workers into submission, I'll take this home and unleash its destructive power on my kids! Well worth the money.

This missile launcher is the coolest toy I have ever bought! All 3 missiles work equally well and the range is farther than I thought! It fires about 20'. It's fast but doesn't hurt at all! The missiles are made of foam with a rubber tip so you don't feel anything! The driver software installed in like 5 seconds! In 10 seconds within opening the box I was shooting my parents with little missiles. If you're looking for a fun toy for your kids for Christmas, Quanza, Haunnukah, whatever, get this right now!

Neat idea, I'll give it that much.
When it arrived, it was packaged well everything was brand new ect ect. Turret rotates left and right sometimes it hangs up on itself. I noticed the same with the vertical angle adjustment. My particular unit does not fire. In addition it locks the program up after attempting to fire. I have disassembled the unit to discover wires were mashed in between the gears of the turret rotating system and also in the gear system responsible for raising and lowering the turret. The firing mechanism had inadequate lubrication for the poorly designed mechanical assembly to function correctly. I also found the reason for the included software program to lock up after clicking fire, and that is: when it fires (mine doesn't fire, but it's supposed to) it closes a circuit sending a signal back to the program to tell the program the unit has fired and to also make the neat "cannon" sound. This product would be 100x better if they invested in servos and solenoids for this product. I would gladly pay twice as much have given the product was build with some thought behind it. I hope another manufacture takes note to these suggestions and makes a much higher quality version of this mess they call a USB rocket launcher.

I have wanted one of these for several years and finally picked one up. This product is junk, the webcam is about 0.25mp very bad picture, mine wont even go up and down only left and right. I have bought much nicer items from the dollar store.

This launches missiles much faster and farther than I imagined. The software installed with no problems on Windows 7 and the launcher has proved to be much fun.

I bought this toy to take it apart and build a webcam servo. So my family overseas can follow the steps of my active child I ended up to buy two of them. For the for the original purpose the other for my own fun. Thanks Enigma for the tip - that is a great review!
