I grew up in Seattle, home of Krusteaz which made Zoom as well as pancake mixes breads, etc, so I have eaten this wonderful cereal all my life. When I left home I tried lots of different cereals and eventually returned to Zoom as my favorite; nothing else measures up. Recently I left the West Coast to live in Middle America where there is NO ZOOM. After working myself through everything available I just gave up and ordered a 6 box pack to make it through the winter--it gets COLD here and I miss my cereal Give it a try - you'll love it if you don't like bland, mushy cereals. Great with addition of nuts, will hold you all day with the bonus of being very good for you as well.

I'm from California and I grew up on Zoom. This is the best wheat cereal out there and it holds you all day. When I moved to Texas, I couldn't find Zoom anywhere, but as they say, 99.99% of the time you can always find what you're looking for on Amazon: so I searched, there it was, and I have been buying the 6 Unit Pack ever since. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Zoom Quick Hot Cereal I have purchased this cereal for my Dad. He loves it! It tastes great and is a good source of fiber.

Great alternative to oatmeal, especially when spouse cannot eat oatmeal due to IBS.

I've been unable to find this cereal for years. It's whole grain, cooks quickly in the micro and is delicious without any additions. Even better is a tiny bit of real maple syrup and about a teaspoon of butter.

I like this cereal, but I've never eaten a bowlful of it. I've used it as a cooking ingredient in quite a few different things: Try mixing some in with a bowl of oatmeal, or add some to the mixing bowl with your Krusteaz buttermilk pancake mix (you just have to add a little extra water to the batter; the dry cereal grain flakes will hydrate while the pancakes cook). Add some to your favorite muffin batter & bake as usual. This stuff does add useful fiber to your diet, but it also adds a taste that seems almost "nutty and sweet" to various recipes. I wouldn't recommend adding it to the filling for a cherry pie; but I wonder what it would do to the crust if you added some to the flour mixture before adding the wet ingredients?

Keep in mind that most recipes and virtually all directions that come on a box of some processed food (except for those that deal with food safety issues) are mostly "suggestions," and you still possess the freedom to experiment and come up with your own recipes for the foods you want to eat.

Unfortunately, I moved from California to Kansas a few years ago, and I can't find Zoom anywhere here. I did ask a local HyVee grocery store to order a case from their Krusteaz distributor for me one time, but they didn't follow thru on my request. $35 seems a little steep to order this stuff; but I might wind up doing that anyway.
