Josie will blow you away. Where has she been hiding? Her beautiful voice and innovative lyrics are overwhelming. I thing Josie is going to be huge. She is so refreshing with her mature, yet in-your-face attitude that totally comes through on this album. "Into You" is my favorite song on the album. I love listening to the entire album from start to finish over and over again. This is powerful stuff! It is sing at the top your lungs while you are driving home from work or busting your behind on the treadmill kind of music. I can't wait to hear Josie live. I can just tell that she would put on an awesome show. She's gotta get on tour so everybody will know what a gem has been discovered in this beautiful singer/songwriter.

This album showcases a gifted talent, Josie.

I especially enjoyed Josie's ballad work.

As a Flower Generation fan, I will look forward to hearing Josie do some funky, jazzy blues. I was captured by her deep voice persona that emerges on many of the enjoyable songs on this album.

I can't believe this is only her first CD. Or am I wrong? Is there another I can get? This is the CD you keep on top of the pile because you reach for it over and over. Thanks, Josie. Let's have another soon.

I got this because a friend saw her live in LA and couldn't stop talking about her. Not a clunker song on the whole CD, I LOVE or hate a cd and I LOVE this one. A little attitude with really talented vocals. The songs really speak to me to. I've never bothered to write a review before - so check her out!

After seeing Josie perform at Luna Park a few weeks ago I was thrilled and inspired. Not only is she drop dead gorgeous with a body that could compete with Janet, Miss jackson if you're nasty, but her voice is stunning. She has the heart and soul to make it in this tiny liitle town and the talent to match. (Ahhh.. if that's all it took!) Either way, be sure to pick up this cd and see just what an Unkunvenshunal Girl sounds like.

The cd is Josie's best work ever. I have been listening to her since she was a youngster. Her range and style is exceptional. I've heard her sing mostly ballads but this new style sets her far apart from the everyday artist you hear today. I wish her all the best for a successful career. She has worked very hard and deserves all the opportunities that are ahead for the future.

I was truly blown away by the melodies, the lyrical content and the grooves. Her voice is soulful, edgy and sincere. This is a real artist and I feel she is gonna BLOW UP!!!! Everyone I played the record for was feelin' her. The world better get ready for JOSIE!!!!!!! She's also the bomb live too...

WOW! When Quincy Jones signed Josie, he signed talent. This woman can sing! Although her first effort, this thinking man's Madonna can sing, motivate movement, and party!

That an artist's music and performance captures the listener, is the next day after listening when you find yourself singing, out loud, or in your head, the music and lyrics. Josie's lyrics are poignant and her music powerful. How can you not begin to "Love Yourself" or dislike yourself recalling your own past in "Heavy Heart"? How does the listener not feel "FREE" to be themselves or encouraged by knowing that FOR CERTAIN "It's Alright"?

Josie presents us with a work that is:clearly personal and revealing, that can truly help us within her clearly stated philosophy, that opens the mind.

Looking forward to the next Josie project as well as enjoying, over and over, the current release!

My 12-year-old daughter adores this CD. She listens to all the tracks avidly, but I'm happiest that she likes "Love Yourself." The message about being happy in the skin you're in is so important for women everywhere, young and old, to remember. Josie has made it because she has done things her own way. I am glad my daughter has discovered Josie as a role model. May all women be as secure with their quirks, gifts and interests!
